"The point of the season before you get to this point is to find an identity and it seems as if we've kind of lost our identity."

5 free throws...that's so far from how we're trying to play basketball... SO WHY THE HELL WERE 52 % OF THE SHOTS FROM BEHIND THE ARC ?? Very nice Hack, I liked that post game quote as well. Be athletic and run up and down the court, we know you don't run any offense Rob.

In the meantime, the J-S makes a major statement in the infant stages of the Mike Davis era, sending Tom to a game that hasn't been covered in house in I don't know how long.
As for the prospects for conference wins, the outlook is extremely bleak when you consider that Detroit just added Chris Blake to its active roster and Butler, Cleveland State and Valpo all look to be as good as ever.

At this point I'm ready to say, who wants my season tix? No need to waste time on this team anymore. The Fire Jeter chants better start raining out of the stands soon. Enough is enough.

I watched the first half on the treadmill and then went out to dinner and listened to the second half on the drive all the way out to Hubertus. Maybe if I let Jeter know that a die-hard Panther basketball fan has traveled all the way back from the Ukraine to see the Butler game on Monday before he goes home to teach again, Jeter will scrap his half-ass offense that has no sets or even guiding principles and will tell the team to play as fast as they can on offense and press the sh*t out of Butler on defense to make the game entertaining at a minimum. I was actually bothering to put together a giant stats post to basically blast victorpanther for his pollyanna post last week, but at this point I won't waste any more time. I'll go to the Butler game and that will be it for me, not another game until Jeter and/or his staff is gone.

So, after eight days to reflect on the season to date and consider his options, Rob decided that Kelm best serves the team as its 11th or 12th man. Interesting. I sure hope that Kyle was injured or under the weather. If not, I just don't get this at all.

I was torn tonight. The kids are gone, so it was watch the game or take my wife out to dinner. Looks like I made the right move by taking the wife to Benno's for beer and wings.
For this team to be competitive at the top of the HL they need to win road games against teams like Wright State. To get dismantled by this Wright State team is bad, really bad. Future not looking too good at the moment.

PantherLou I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not. I am not saying that we have that one move on offense. I am saying that I don't know of any move on offense. Unfortunately, I am being 100% serious.

With heavy heart, I am formally announcing that I am seriously considering officially taking a break from the board.
There's just too much negativity. I believe it is adversely affecting the team in a direct way. I'll never understand how any true fan could possibly question the direction of this program.
Just remember, this is all part of Jeter's maturation process.

Can you imagine how UIC fans felt for all those years? Is that where we're headed? Please no...

I love Jeter's identity quote. Many of us have been questioning the program's identity from Day One of his regime.
This isn't difficult to assess. The team takes on the identity of the coach. Therefore, the team has no identity and really never has.

Something just isn't right with this team.......and I can't believe they just don't have the talent to stick close to teams like CSU and Wright State. Maybe I'm wrong.

Someone posted about the handling of the Hill incident also as part of Jeter's maturation process. In his sixth season, the maturation process as a coach should be nearly complete or complete. If the maturation process isn't complete by now can it ever be complete?

Can you imagine how UIC fans felt for all those years? Is that where we're headed? Please no... At least UIC went to a few tournaments over several years. I just hope we are not headed down the road UWGB traveled under pmck.
