Anthony didn't miss the game because of an eye injury, Jeter never said anything about an injury in the post-game press conference.
He didn't specify, but it sounds like it was a disciplinary decision. Check out the tape of the Jeter's post-game comments on the Panther web site under the game summary.
I am disappointed in the Journal-Sentinel for not reporting this better in the game story, playing it off as Jeter was trying to skake things with up with Kelm starting. Are you kidding me?

Kaygee:
The game story in metro print editions of the Journal Sentinel dealt much more extensively with the issue of Ant Hill's suspension ... or at least made an attempt to do so.
Three paragraphs of Rob non-explanatory explanations filled the story as Tom tried to glean the real reason for Anthony's benching.
Why Rob hasn't been coached to handle these questions more deftly is the real story.

If Anothony Hill is in the doghouse, is must be something that has happened in practice. Hill wasn't anymore bad versus DePaul than his teammates.

The beat goes on....seems like this has been a recurring thing over the last six years...can not say I ever hear of any of this crap and disciplinary stuff with Bo Ryan at Madison.. maybe they do a better job of covering it up or recruit a better class of kids

Unbelievable...

Ha, good point Hack. Unfortunately, that was before I became a Panther fan. At least nobody from the 2007 class Najeh Davenpooped in anybody's duffle bag...

I can't imagine that it was anything that would keep him on the bench for too long. He's a Senior that appears to have a good head on his shoulders and should be mature enough at this stage of his collegiate career to know better. I'm going to say maybe it was something he did at practice? Or maybe he voiced his displeasure about something the wrong way?
Whatever the situation is/was, I really hope this was a one time benching to teach him a lesson.

This is funny, Now for Ant Hill: He's improved tremendously since he was a freshman from Tech, and he's never had questions about his academics, character or his work ethic. In fact, this has been a pretty stand-up team in those terms, which is by far Rob's greatest accomplishment as a head coach. He's learned from his former mistakes. Maybe Ant spoke up ,as a leader of the team, that he didn't like the direction the team is being taken in. Who knows? I doubt any of us will ever know what actually happened.

Kevin Johnson held someone up while riding a bike. Game, set, match Milwaukee.

Kevin Johnson held someone up while riding a bike. Game, set, match Milwaukee. Defense moves to strike this from the record, as the person in question was no longer with the program when the incident occurred. If Mr. Johnson's actions are to be held against Milwaukee, couldn't the same be said of USC for recruiting a one Mr. Orenthal James Simpson?

Or when another player knocks a pizza delivery boy the F out. Yeah, that team had serious issues.

Does anyone know what Ant's status is for tomorrow night's game?
