The number reported for attendance is always inflated. That what I said PAID crowd. I think I'm going to hit my head in a wall.

I would hope that the Christmas party I went to yesterday instead of the game means I can still be a fan. My wife and I missed seeing you at the game.

I'll beat Eddie to the punch: Free Mitchell Carter! To paraphrase the great Panther U: "But if you look close at the box scores, you’ll see that Carter was is being played a couple minutes a game at the end of games, maybe once or twice a month. It’s obvious that the coach was is just trying to burn through his eligibility, which is a joke and should make his homecoming all the more sweet sour."

Without Anthony Hill, this team would hover around .500. Oh, wait......
Jimmy, I hope you got that boycott/Christmas party out of your system and you can resume being a real fan. Next time you miss a game, you need to clear it with the board so that your absence be deemed acceptable. Because as you're probably aware, the team was lucky to escape with a win last nigt sans the likes of you, Hack, Futbol, FTA, and myself in attendance.

It's obvious that my attendance is all that's necessary to ensure victory.

idk...i'll preface this with: i didn't see most of the game...but i heard that quote i laughed...frankly, bill's a total homer...as a panther fan i have no issue with it...but he ALWAYS complains about the officiating if it goes against the panthers, regardless of whether or not the same calls are going the other way FWIW, he also complains about the officiating if it goes for the Panthers. I tune into UWM games just because Johnson makes me laugh. Don't take this personally, but he's much more entertaining when the Panthers are losing. Interesting...but this is in the wrong thread. This statement should be in the fire Rob Jeter now thread, as its the most compelling argument to keep Rob around other than money and recruiting good and talented people. Rob makes Bill Johnson more entertaining.

I guarantee you'll be wasted by halftime.

This was likely my one and only game of the year since I am back home for the holidays and seeing the team live really confirmed what I saw from watching games on tv/online.
First, I did not think the attendance was horrible considering the opponent, time of year and general play of the team both this year and over the last several years. I continue to think the student section is pretty weak for the total number of students enrolled but I dont blame them for not "buying" what this team is selling. Its boring and inconsistent basketball that is not packaged to properly by the University.
Second, Williams is no team leader and likes to yell at everyone but does not seem willing to take any responsibility for his own mistakes. No one seems willing to take leadership of breaking a press. BGSU put on a half-a$s press which gave the team fits for much of the game. The rotation continues to be a mess with no real reason behind sub patterns.
Lastly, as fed up I am with Jeter the assistant coaches are even more of a joke. They do nothing at any point during the game. No coaching on the bench, no input during timeouts. they just mull around and throw up their hands at the refs.
The group I went with, all season ticket holders, echoed what myself and other here seem to feel which is continued support of the team and the players but a change of a coaching staff is needed.

It was a win! I'll take it. Maybe the 12 days off will do the team some good.
