buppie,
I think this board reflects the dire state of Panther basketball. It's expected that the bandwagon fans stray, but now even the faithful ones are starting to lose hope and give up; that's how you know how bad things are. Personally, I just don't have any faith in this team, and it's really hard to justify 4 hours of driving to watch pitiful basketball. I'm sure I'll make it down for the GB and Butler games, but I can't even convince my wife to go to these games, and she knows how important they are to me.
Anyway, there's no reason they can't win this one, and hopefully this gets something going.

I don't begrudge anyone for not going anymore. This season has produced some of the worst losses that I can remember. That said, our group will be there tonight. You'd like to think that we should beat a two-win MAC team, but...

Will it be The Good, The Bad, or The Ugly. Which team will take the court against Bowling Green. With this team you have no idea who will show up. I for one am going to skip the game and will probably take in a good movie at least I'll know what I am walking into before hand.

I promised a nephew a game this season and I picked this one because I figured a win. I just hope the team that played against WMU and the first half of CSU doesn't how up.

Panthers are a 10.5 point favorite.

Wow...sounds like there are only going to be about 500 people there tonight. I am shocked at the amount of people on this board jumping ship, way to go Panther faithful. Believe it or not I think this team has some real talent and there is still hope they will turn it around.
I'll be in the student section cheering my ass off...win or lose we still booze.

Ditto. And thanks for coming. I can't say I'm in anyone's shoes and whether they should go or not. I'm sure many have legit excuses, but there are also those here who are proving they're only riding the bandwagon. And that may be our single biggest problem as an Athletic program; only showing up when the team is winning. If you're ready, willing and able to come tonight, please do. The less butts there are in seats, the less home court advantage exists, and the harder it is for the players to get pumped up. Milwaukee obviously fed off the energy we produced against Marquette, and very nearly came back. That is impossible with a 90% empty arena.

You mentioned in your post the biggest issue I have, and I'm sure many other panther fans feel the same way. We have some real TALENT. Its so very hard for a diehard like me to watch this very talented team show flashes of brilliance, yet play so poorly the majority of this season. We see individuals have great games, but as a team they've played well together only a handful of times. I'll be at the game tonight because I'm a glutton for punishment. During our recent 9 win season I was extremely disappointed with the product on the court, but it was understandable. This year its not understandable, its downright embarrassing. Again, I hope this season gets turned around, and I can't blame anyone (even diehard fans) for not attending anymore. Kudos to those who do go and support these young men, as they deserve our support for being panthers.

We have to win this game to be able to restart conference play with any confidence...

Ant Hill not playing. Early appearances by Christian Wolf and Haggerty. How intriguing ... and disturbing
Also, FWIW Tone shot 4 3-pointers in the first 5-6 minutes.

I'm sure Hill not playing will be the excuse if we lose.
