I'm excited about this!
I have to tell you., Rick Costello really blew me away with his attitude and enthusiasm for the position, for the department, and what we CAN and WILL accomplish here.
I was really OK with either him or Paul Plinske, but frankly, I trust that Mike Lovell made the right choice!

There are many sports that generate REVENUE. There are only 2 that consistently generate PROFIT. 1. Football 2. Men's Basketball Hockey is the only only other sport that generates profit somewhat consistently, but since hockey is so expensive, I would doubt that this is the case in more than 50% of the schools that carry it. Hate to say it Lou, but it's a well-documented fact that less than 10 football programs in the entire country consistently generate a profit. So that leaves us with option #2 on your list. Bottom line? Everyone who is talking about anything else is just wasting their time, as well as taking attention away (and therefore HURTING) the only viable option we have.  |
