I'd say that Rob was a bit irritated that Anthony was wearing YSU's claw prints all over his arms ... and only shot six free throws to Vytas Sulskis' 15.

I made it my only Panther home contest that fits into my schedule and first things first always good to get a win but is anybody else nervous that Jeter has no confidence in anybody to back up Ant? At just under the 6 minute mark, Ant picked up his 3rd foul and Jeter couldn't even give him a blow to the under 4. Why would you take out the most dominant player on the floor in a close game?

So he wouldn't be playing the final 4 minutes with 4 fouls.

"Tim Maymon is an interesting character." Tim Maymon is a certifiable lunatic. That's putting it nicely. I've never seen an adult live so vicariously through his kids than that guy. Also, why did Jeter point to Tim Maymon in the crowd after the game like they were "boys?"

Great game. Hill was awesome. Wish more fans would have been there even if it was YSU on a Thursday night.
It was nice to see a YSU team that for once gave our team a "legitimate" challenge (I take the game last year as an anomaly).
On a side note, my son has become friends with Ant's brother (who's name I can't remember, my son would know). Must be cool to see his big brother out there.

Another really entertaining college basketball game at the Cell. That's three in a row. The one thing everyone was saying last night was that if YSU is at the bottom of the league, the league is going to be a bear. Until the last few minutes YSU played some very good basketball.
As for our team, I think we are seeing the rotation now very clearly. The guys who will be fighting for minutes and appearing in very limited action for the time being include Hags and Allen. Mitch and Christian have yet to work themselves into the rotation at all, but there's a lot of season left for them to step it up.
By the way, I believe our dunk attempt percentage is still hovering in the low teens, if that. Learn to lay the ball in, Ryan.
One other thing -- Kyle Kelm just has great basketball instincts and is really productive but he has to dedicate himself to strength development in the upper body. A couple times last night he just got stoned in close-in situations where he should at least have forced a foul.

No not nervous at all. Kyle Kelm will be that guy about a month from now. Plus with 3 fouls at the 6 minute mark left in the game, you should be able to trust a Senior to play smart. Ant made a stupid foul doing the exact opposite of what those guys are taught from Day 1.

I'm sure Tim Maymon is well-known by all the Wisconsin D-1 coaches, and I would be shocked if Rob hadn't at least put in a call about Jerrone.
As for Hill, he was lifted with his fourth foul. Jeter responded by going to a three-forward lineup for the first time.

Shocked you must be, then.
Tim is a character, and as long as I'm not sitting next to him he doesn't bother me. On the other hand, Devonte Maymon couldn't stop trash-talking last night. Devonte, you're playing for YSU. Maybe you want to think about that before you flap. Playing a little defense wouldn't hurt either.

Did he say something to Eayrs at some point, prompting James to get up out of his seat and chirp back?
