On the matter of "depth," we have eight or nine guys who can and should play on a regular basis (maybe 10 on a good day).
I don't expect many (any?) blowouts the rest of the way, so there will be no further chances to showcase this "depth."

Saturday was a microcosm of the season thus far: Hot and Cold. Good and Bad. Smart and Dumb. If we play against YSU like we did against Marquette we'll win by 25.

Have you seen Youngstown State play or are you just shooting off the cuff again?

I'm saying that we played an incredibly complete game against Marquette, the most complete game I've seen in years. The Golden Eagles were only really saved by the fact that they shot an otherworldly 66% in the first half and made, what, seven three-pointers in that stretch. Unless something like that happens again, UWM would comfortably beat anyone in this conference playing like they did against Marquette. Especially at home. That's all.
Of course, I don't think they will put another performance like that up again. I suppose I should have communicated that. It should be a single-digit win. I respect YSU's record enough.

Don't you think that Milwaukee's lackluster defense and sloppy ballhandling had anything to do with Marquette shooting 66 percent in the first half?
Play like that and the Panthers will fall into a hole against anyone, Youngstown State included.

DJO was on fire but we helped him by being a half-step slow on defense much of the first half. And our ball security was horrible. We played a good game, overall, but only just. If we had played a really good game -- or even just a complete game -- that's a win.

Bobbleheads are for Saturday against Cleveland State (or the women's game against UNI that afternoon).

The Panthers must protect their home floor and win these games. I'm glad this is a league game because I think the team will be ready to play.

I didn't think that Panthers played a great basketball game at all. They put forth a strong effort to come back to make the score close...but if they would have played up to their potential on Saturday night...Milwaukee would have won the ball game.
