Three to five points is pro football.
In college basketball, you've got the crowd on top of you, the band in your ear (as we did against Valpo in 2004), students heckling you every second (where there are students) and the officials often swayed by the home crowd.
We didn't beat Carl Landry-led Purdue by 5 in 2005; we beat the Boilers by closer to 15, but the free-throw disparity was outrageous.
Anyone remember the North Carolina State game in 2003?

Don't get me started about NC State circa 2003. Ugh.

If UWM wants to win this game, the coaches must know that a zone is the defense to play. All you have to do is rewind the last 7 minutes in the first half of the gonzaga game...they went to a 2-3 zone and Marquette scored 2 points, of which was a prayer rocketed off the backboard by Vander Blue. We can keep the game close if we play zone, but if we decide to play man the whole game, Marquette will win by 10+

Anyone care to wager what kind of crowd we'll see? It's a nice day out there, I expect a near-capacity audience. Personally, I'm bringing 11 others along for this one.
If you're a student, get there early to get a spot and pump up the home team during warmups!

I'm bring three additional people. It will be cold and the game is on TWC32. I would hope to see 8k-9k, but would expect around 6K-7k.

For what it's worth, the 5-10 Bucks meet the 6-10 Bobcats across the street.
That game doesn't have anywhere near the appeal it seemed to have at the beginning of the season, at least not from a Bucks fan's perspective.
I'll call the crowd at 8,750, which of course is about 2,000 under capacity.

Does anyone know if kids are allowed at Goolsby's? I want to check out the pre-game festivities and my group will have two kids with us.

Typically kids are admitted with a parent.
