Hahaha yeah, I'm not ready to talk about this debacle yet. Milwaukee can't play that bad on Saturday as they did on Tuesday night. Milwaukee needs to make MU beat them with the three. MU stinks from the outside this year. Milwaukee needs to win the rebounding battle and 2nd chance points.

I think Marquette's at a little bit higher level than Western Michigan, don't you think?

If nothing else I predict we'll see two teams that give great effort. After the Western Michigan debacle for Milwaukee and the Kansas City 0-fer for MU, both teams should be highly focused on playing hard and well.

Despite two loses, MU played hard and fairly well considering it was #1 and #22. In the past two games, the level of competition faced by MU was significantly higher than that faced by Milwaukee. If MU plays as they did in KC, MU will be tough to beat. Milwaukee needs to play like they did in the FIRST half against UNI. If Milwaukee plays a UNI second half, or WMU game it will be a long night.

Milwaukee did make the lead grow to 10 in the 2nd half versus UNI.

This will be a home game......for Marquette. My guess is the breakdown will be 65-35 MU fans.

Call me optimistic, but the WM stinker was a big wake-up call for the team...they won't be flat for sure Sat. Plus, I think that all those missed shots mean that they will be waiting at the Cell on Sat...but that's just me

MU stinks from the outside this year. Milwaukee needs to win the rebounding battle and 2nd chance points. 5 years into the Rob Jeter experiment and even with a major improvement in recruiting, we still have no semblance of an offensive or defensive system. Literally the sets are unrecognizable from one game to the next and it feeds into the poor shooting. I looked forward to this game for a long time, here it is and I'm going to the Badgers vs Northwestern to see them play for a trip to the Rose Bowl instead. BTW, even the badgers have failed to sell out 2 of the games I've gone to this year and this will be the third that falls short.

Yikes. My wife and I are coming down to MKE for the game (she's an MU alum), and this is going to suck. At least dinner will be fun.
Because of poor scheduling, this game will not sell out and expect the majority of the fans to be Marquette fans.
Marquette 82 Milwaukee 61

I'd honestly like to see this game scheduled really early next year, so we can see if we can shoehorn our way into the tip-off marathon.

I posted this in the "Other Teams" section, but I'll also post it here.
I actually think this is your guys' best opportunity to beat us in a long time, and probably for awhile. It's at your place (I'm willing to bet MU fans will marginally outnumber UWM fans, though), and we've not been playing all that smart basketball. Plus, you guys are due to have a hot night shooting after your clunker last night, and you'll be "up" for this "rivalry." MU, on the other hand, has yet to prove that it's a reliable outside shooting team, which is my worry. We are probably more athletic and skilled than you at most positions, but if you play an effective zone against us like the Zags did last night, we might be in trouble.
