So, any ideas, hopes, concerns, etc. for this game?
I think we will win. Not sure about anything else.

I predict a small crowd.

Today's JS had a sticker attached to the front page. Half off on $50 and $20 Buck's tickets on Wednesday night. :-(

Our frequent head to heads against the Bucks are an unending problem. It is a HUGE advantage for Marquette's ticket sales that they never go up against the Bucks.
Unfortunately, there's not a thing we can do about it except keep promoting great college basketball at a bargain price as an alternative.

I think the bigger factors are Thankgiving and the losing streak. The students will have gone home for thanksgiving, and I think some may not be as true of fans and not interested in the team after the bad start

That is a great deal for the Bucks game, but their record isn't much better than ours. I'll see the Panthers for free and expect a win. Small crowd, smaller student section.

probably around 1,000 ppl will be in attendance. i think we'll win as SD State is not very good but who knows how well we'll play. hopefully this'll be like their game vs. Kent State where they lose by 55. that would be a great way to ring in the holiday.

I'm sure that the AD would rather have played on a different day. The night before Thanksgiving is not a good date, but we don't have our own place so....
For now though let's make the best of it, make as much noise as we can and root our Panthers onto a win

I for one am really looking forward to tonight's game, I missed the last two tourney games, and the No. Iowa game. It sounds like Mauldin and Swiggett are stepping up, and I think maybe with the small crowd the Panthers will be very relaxed, the 3's will start dropping, I see a 20 pt. win.
And the U.S. Cell sells beer. Aww Yeah

I'm guessing 1250 attendance.
UWM 76 SDSU 52
SDSU is still a very fresh D1 team. They've finally joined a D1 conference, and that will help greatly for their recruiting in the coming years. However, UWM's young squad is talented and has been through a brutal 4 game stretch. UWM's guys should have little to no trouble putting this one away.

I'm not sure if any of you guys caught Jeter on the D List today but Jeter was asked if he has settled into a rotation and he made it seem like there may be a shakeup in the starting lineup. He also went on to say as Charlie and Sam's playing time should increase as the season goes on. Sam couldn't have any contact until the first practice, so it will take him time to get back in the swing of things. Also, Swiggett missing the first 2 weeks of practice was a blow, but as he becomes more comfortable in the offense, his playing time will increase. Does anybody care to venture a guess at what Jeter meant? Maybe Charlie starts at the point and Al comes off the bench? It would be nice if we had a scoring treat coming off the bench.

Just a guess: Charlie starts at the point and Al comes off the bench. Also, what would you guys think if Sam displaced Marcus from the starting lineup?

I agree on both counts. I'd like to see a Mauldin, Paulsen, Smith, Franklin, Swigett line up.

I think Mauldin starting is a complete joke, and I'm not afraid to say it. Give him time, but not now. Please, not now.
