Franklin's gotta do a lot better than 1-9. And Hanson has got to attempt more than four shots. Nonetheless, a vast improvement over the past two games from an overall team perspective.

Massiah. Bid just said this was the best game he ever played in a Milwaukee uniform.

We played better tonight, but not nearly as good as we could play. Guys need to finish around the hoop. We had plenty of looks around the basket, but just couldn't get it done. This team has what it takes to be a competitive team in the Horizon League, but the guards need to step it up like Avo. Ricky hasn't been able to get his shots in traffic to fall yet, but once he does we are going to be dangerous. Mauldin impressed me again. He, like Franklin, just need more playing to get used to playing D-I ball. As the year goes on we are going to get better and better. I dedicate tonight to Massiah because he had his best game ever, and I hope his play continues at this type of level or higher. Art Vandelay

Found offensive leader? I don't know why people doubted Avo so much? I knew he would start and be good.

Hey Freak, still think only 10 wins this year? -I think Freak may still be right. My over/under victories line was and is 9.5. -we're not gonna shoot 47% at 3 ptrs every night. get that out of your mind and tonight becomes more of a mirage than a temporary oasis. -I'm happy to see that Avo has found a shot. I thought he would eventually and with a shot, he's a special player. -The hardest things for me to see are Ricky Franklin shooting HORRIBLE (again) and us having NO inside presence. I'm hoping Mauldin will be ready to take this role by xmas. -Rick shot 1-9! -If Rick and a big guy (Paulsen has been playing offense like a guard from what I've seen and heard in the stats and radio) become threats, we're in business. - Last year I likened Messiah's rebounding and post play to CBarkley. He did well tonight. Kudos to him.

Franklin's 1-9 is freaking horrible man!
They have to finish in the post. Gotta make a few more shots to win games. They got lucky tonight with the 3's but if they keep shooting they way they do inside then they'll keep losing games.
Good effort thought. I thought they'd lose by at least 30...I'm very happy.

Mauldin will eventually get into shape and make his shots...he will be a factor and starter by the end of the year.

I think AVO has finally harnessed his game, before he was almost to fast for his own good and didnt know what to do with his speed.

I wouldn't worry about Franklin or Thorton. It's hard to tell from listening on the radio but he might have been better defended. Thorton will be a monster scoring machine but tonight they were hitting their 3's and didn't need him as much.

I'm surprised at a lot of people saying that the 3 point shooting won't continue. We're going to be a guard-oriented team, why not be able to take and hit the threes? Time will build confidence. This was a great performance after the UAB and WASU performances. Let's hope we can continue to build some momentum. Holding Michigan to 45% shooting is a good step in the right direction, especially with the size disadvantage. Obviously, adjustments were made at halftime, but this is a positive step for us. Franklin will get better with more time on the court. Northern Iowa on the road, opening a new building will be another tough test.

Solid performance, much improved results compared to the Washington state game and UAB's first half. Hopefully we continue playing well and spoil UNI's new building.

Hard fought game tonight. Need to shoot better around the rim. Johnson said repeadtly that we were missing some makeable shots inside. I'm pleased with how this young team played on the road in the Big Ten. They are steadily getting better, although from listening to the game and not being able to watch it I really couldn't tell if our defense was that much more improved or if Michigan was too sloppy with the ball on offense, although I think it was a combination of the two. Anyways, good game and let's continue to see improvement.
