Damn son! I just heard we lost to Parkside! Are you serious? All the optimism just turned to floptimism. Unreal.

Umm I know it's only an exhibition... but ouch. I really hope winning the game was not terribly important for RJ.

It looks like their shooting was horrible. Ricky went 0-7 and Paulsen shot 2-10

Someone, please talk me off of the ledge!! Seriously, I know growing pains were in order, but Parkside??? What happened?? Ah, let's see. (1)UWM couldn't score; Franklin and Paulsen were unimpressive, and that's being nice. (2)UWM couldn't play D; I counted at least 3 back doors by Parkside that the help defense was like 12 feet out of the play. AND 2 long, Peyton Manning inbounds passes that went for lay-ups. One on Nick Hansen and one on Avo. (3)UWM couldn't rebound; at least when it mattered. Not sure what the totals were, but it seemed like Paulsen grabbed most of his on his own misses and put back...and misses and putbacks. BRIGHT SPOTS: (1)Marcus Skinner looked really good. Shot the ball well, boxed out and rebounded well...hopefully he'll keep improving b/c they're going to need it. (2) Avo seemed much more comfortable and relaxed with the ball.

Just got back. Still in shock!
Trying to find something positive. I really like Marcus Skinner's game. He was very impressive. Good looking shot for a big guy.
Our half court defense really needs work, we gave up quite a few easy buckets. Parkside was hitting from 3.
Press was quite unorganized. Seemed like people were confused as to where they should have been on the floor. Paige Paulson please put your hands up on the press.
Thats all for now, I need to try and keep my dinner down.

So, is this a case of just getting used to each other, or a case of "Wow, this is going to be a LOOOOONNNNNNGGGG season!"?

It was god awful fellas....its not like we played badly and turned the ball over and made mistakes...we were seriously that bad...so many glaring weaknesses I do not even know where to start...No perimeter shooting, nothing going towards the basket in the offense, and no inside presence. Marcus Skinner however did impress. I can not state enough though that things will have to change or else it will be a long year. Defensively it was bad, and our guards didnt pressure the ball well in my eyes....Im going to go curl up in the fetal position now and watch the news

This is a very young and inexperienced team. I wouldn't get worried yet.
I remember last season when our sweet 16 team lost to Tennessee Tech and people had their firerobjeter.com websites proposed. Hopefully they'll get it together quickly.

So, is this a case of just getting used to each other, or a case of "Wow, this is going to be a LOOOOONNNNNNGGGG season!"? A little bit of both. I think the defense will get better. I'm just wondering where our points are going to come from this year. Because other than Skinner I didn't really see much on the offensive end.
