I believe that Madison pays us $50,000+ per game. From a decent source so it could be wrong.

I actually thought it was even significantly higher than that.

Actually it would be this year's Lewis. My guess is that we had to schedule Hillsdale since UWM ducked our offer. My guess is that you can kiss my ass.

UWGB's poor man's coach K was an assistant under Crean. Yet the GB staff isn't even on speaking terms with the MU staff right now because of Crean's stunt. That being the case, how much angrier do you think the UWM staff is. After all we've been the Big Dance two of the last three years and during that time period won three more NCAA games then MU did.

Does anyone seriously care about a game with marquette anymore? Honestly.
I'd enjoy a series with them, but not if they think that UWM isn't worth s**t and they can give whatever bulls**t offer they want. And no, I wouldn't take the same series with UW anymore either, since marquette fans absolutely love to bring that up.
This program is to the point now where they don't need marquette and UW anymore.

huh? what are you talking about.. aren't you the same UWM that is going through re-building? I think those are games that definitely would help you guys, and the conference SOS out!
So what the hell happened anyways?? You are both in the same city - I'm sue if you play at Marquette, you could get a good number of your fans in the building, and a big payout, so why not play the games?
I think alot of you who are going to come back down to earth, like some of us at Butler did a couple of years ago, after we lost all of our key players. The nice thing is that we are back on track now, and should be for several years with the recruits we've got comming in. The true question is whether UWM can bounce back, or will you just have to hold on to that short period of success?

The big payout that MU is unwilling to give, they aren't offering buy games Atherton. They just want 4 for 1 home games. Home team keeps all the proceeds and for the record, no we don't need them. Not to mention exactly what the hell are you guys on track to do this year after losing 3 good players including the POY and no super recruits?!

"Not to mention exactly what the hell are you guys on track to do this year after losing 3 good players including the POY and no super recruits?!" Huh? Maurice Acker was Freshman of the Year in the MAC, and transferred and will sit out this season. (Yes, has no impact on this season's results but that is a "recruit" for this season). David Cubillan is a 3 point specialist, he will adequately replace Joe Chapman immediately. Trend Blackledge is a sleeper recruit who Crean nabbed after missing out on a few recruits. He is a freak athlete, reminds me a lot of Renaldo Balkman who played at South Carolina. Probably won't help much this season either as he is a project. The cornerstone of the recruiting class is Lazar Hayward, one of the top rated wing players in his class, and considered by many to be the top 3 point shooter in the class as well. Hayward and Fitzgerald will split time replacing Novak. Aside from likely competing for a Big East championship this season, I guess we don't have much to look forward to. By the way, new article up on JSOnline concerning the MU/UWM series. I hope Rob and Bud sign it. Time for all this childish bickering to stop.

Assuming marquette can find a perimeter shooter they should be sitting pretty this season.

No way is that offer going to accepted. No way do we throw away an $80,000 buy game elsewhere to play MU for nothng here.
The offer is an insult and should be treated with the disrespect it deserves.

In the past I think the reason these two teams didn't play was, for Marquette they had everything to loose and nothing to gain from playing Milwaukee.

UWM has changed the past few seasons. Thanks to Bruce Pearl and now Rob Jeter, the team is at a point where it can schedule games with competitive teams for MUCH better than 4-1. That is what has changed.
I wouldn't mind a series with marquette, but it'd have to be 2-1 or 3-1. 4-1 is unacceptable IMO. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
