To recap Crean uses MU beat writer as a willing tool to try pressure Jeter into making a deal that is in Marquette's best interest. The exact tactics Crean and Marquette fans have been whining about over the last few years. I hope he did, afterall Haidet, Cryan (er Ryan), and pig sweat Bruce did it ad nauseum to MU at every turn. b****ing and whining constantly in the paper, on WAUK, to every outlet they could. Now we give you the games and you're still whining. Classic and this is exactly what MU should have done PUBLICLY two years ago. Glad they finally did what has been known privately for a long time. You guys have had the 4 for 1 offer in play for well well well over a year. Just ask good old Buddy boy. We are giving you 5 games minimum or 10 games if two 4 for 1's are signed. Time to put up or shut up. What's it going to be?

This whole thing was such a sham. And a mockery. Try practicing some real journalism, J-S. The fundamental tenets of journalism are not required when the source of information is Tom Crean. Tom Crean is the single most trustworthy and knowledgeable person on the planet, and there is no reason to waste anyone's time by obtaining a "second source" or anything silly like that when Tom Crean is involved. Duh!
/sarcasm offComing from a school that employed Steve Antrim, Bo Ryan and Bruce Pearl (will be on NCAA probation within 3 years at UT) this is quite comical in hearing this out of your mouth. Bitterness will get you nowhere.

Fred is right about one thing. We need to stop being bitter and prepare for battle. Of course, that's all he's right about. As usual.

"Immediate manifestations in survivors of lightning and electrical injuries include altered consciousness, confusion, disorientation, and amnesia... Subsequently, patients show either normalization of mental status or sequelae ranging from headaches and distractibility to persistent psychiatric disorder and dementia... The fact of this variety has been recognized for a long time." i don't know chicos, this sounds A LOT more like Cubs fans on a good day than Fran any day.

Wow you catch on fast. Let me help you... I CHERRY-PICKED THOSE DATES TO SHOW THAT WHAT YOU ARE DOING ISN'T HONEST. It isn't MY rationale, it was YOUR demented rationale. This WASN'T a 6-for-1 series at any time unless you cherry pick only a certain span of years to fit your agenda, exactly like I did finding the 3-for-2, SAME THING. Still confused? Now YOU answer these two questions: YES OR NO, is madison PAYING milwaukee for three of the games in question?
YES OR NO, would an HONEST person use those three games in the context of asking for a NON-GUARANTEE 4-for-1 series?"Non-guarantee" means NOT PAYING for the games, for you Marquette alums. Now this would also beg the question, is Tom Crean therefore being a dishonest person for doing so? I'll leave that one alone, as I think the evidence speaks for itself. CASE CLOSED.Once again, thank you for being dishonest, Chicos. Or should I say, [glow=red,2,300]LIAR.[/glow] SRT...using the same rationale you used to "cherry pick" (as you accuse me of), it was a 6 for 1 as I stated CORRECTLY. To fullfill the second contract, however it ends up ultimately being 7 for 2. Now I do find it rather interesting that you accuse someone of cherry picking and to make your argument you cherry pick. YES OR NO, are there two back to back contracts at work here?
YES OR NO, when putting those two contracts together is it 7 for 2?If you answered anything less than YES on both of those questions, then you would be wrong. Simply read the article again. You can cut up little segments all you want to say "the last 5 games have one team going there three times and here twice"....that's wonderful. That's only a small part of the ENTIRE contract. We are talking about contracts here are we not? By the way...it's "paid" not "payed". Always happy to help. Oh, also by the way. When calling someone a "liar" they usually need to have done something such as LYING. It's a 7 for 2 with the two contracts, please explain what is UNTRUTHFUL about that known and published fact? Take care. Hope you guys have the stones to sign this contract.

It's difficult for me to understand all this hair splitting here.
I for one don't believe that this deal has been out there for two years. NO way would Pearl have turned it down. He was licking his chops over a chance to get MU on the court.
And if it was, the only reason Crean is bringing it to the attention of the public now is that we lost 7 Seniors AND he thinks we won't be returning to the level we've played at recently any time soon.
None of that matters. A chance to play a lengthy series against a Big East Team is worth the risk. You don't go the next level without playing big name teams. Like it or not MU is a bigger name team than South Dakota State, Oakland and some of the others we've had on our schedule. And it's also true that UWM is a bigger name than some of the bunnies MU has scheduled.
So let's stop the arguing over who said what when and wait to see what UWM's response is and hope there is some way the two schools will be playing each other. Cuz this a game the fans want and there's no way that by the end of the first set of games MU will be 38-0 against the Panthers.

Milwsport....it was Pearl who started the nonsense that he demanded a home game. MU told Bud 4 for 1 is where we start and Bruce had a hissy fit. That shut down the talks right there. When Rob was hired, that presented a different situation. Still, it will be 4 for 1 unless Crean and Cords cave which would be stunning if they did. SRT....zoloft can assist people like you. We weren't talking about guarantees or anything of the kind. We spoke about where the games were being played. 7 games in Madison, 2 games in Milwaukee. CASE CLOSED Now you have a 4 for 1 on the table. Are you going to just sit here and scream all day or are you going to play us 5 times in the next 5 years and try to hang your first loss on us ever in this series?

Freddy, Stop polishing your toenails and realize something...the problem stems from Creanie reporting INCORRECT information as SRT is trying to get you to understand. The 4 for 1 deal you MU people are screaming about is not true. So...he is making precedent on INCORRECT INFORMATION. Do you guys check the I.Q.'s of the coaches you hire? [glow=red,2,300]Coming from a school that employed Steve Antrim, Bo Ryan and Bruce Pearl (will be on NCAA probation within 3 years at UT) this is quite comical in hearing this out of your mouth.[/glow] I would also like an explanation as to why you think Pearl will be on probation? If you don't have any facts, shut up. A little [glow=red,2,300]jealous[/glow] perhaps?

Bob Dukiet sure was a hell of a coach, right? What a moronic statement. Care to place a wager on your shockingly ridiculous "prediction" regarding Pearl?

Bob Dukiet sure was a hell of a coach, right? Sigh, it has nothing to do with the quality of the coaching which Dukiet couldn't do. It has to do with nature of the individual. Three years, Pearl on probation. Write it down.

A little [glow=red,2,300]jealous[/glow] perhaps? What would I be jealous of? His ability to wear orange suits and suspenders? His ability to sweat more than any human being alive? His ability to record recruiting telephone conversations illegally? His ability to tamper with players at other schools and talk them into transferring to his school which is a NCAA no - no? Yes, there is much to be jealous of.
