Not necessarily, I wouldn't be surprised if last year's game was a buy game. Oakland was already in Milwaukee from playing a return game with Marquette on Monday (12/19/05), If I was Oakland, why not try to get a buy game with a team in the same city and cut down on some travel expenses. Also, some contracts allow for wiggle room, as in terms of when the return game must be played. Just look at the Panthers contract with Montana.

I have no clue, but I hope so. What a nice game that would be for us.

This is what I heard from someone this weekend. The Michigan game is set, but will be played at Michigan and I do not know if there is a return game invovled or not. We will have a home game with UAB this year. Also, have heard that the tourny mentioned we would host is going to happen with Washington St set to come but the other two teams are still up in the air.

UAB lost alot of people from last year I think we might be able to steal this one.

I believe the UAB game is tied into the tournament along with Washington State.

Wow, all this talk of next years possible opponents is making me so excited for my homecoming in November. As it stands now, I'll either make or miss Midnight Madness by as little as a day or two. Definately keeping my fingers crossed for an early return. And I can't wait to experience a M.M. in the Cell instead of the KC.

Hopefully, some format changes are in store for next season's Midnight Madness. Last year's lacked a few things, including a three-point competition. West Virginia, Cincinnati, Washington State and UAB have all been mentioned as potential home opponents. By the way, folks, if Milwaukee finishes anywhere near .500 in the conference, there's no one way it will approach a .500 overall record. Not trying to be cynical, just realistic.

i don't know if one can just rack up Washington State in the loss column for us. yeah they were a young team last year (only 1 senior and 3 juniors) but they're losing their top scorer to transferring and it'll be Tony Bennett's first year coaching as well. that and the traveling might help our chances too. their '06 recruiting class isn't exactly intimdating either. UAB has a better class then them and i'd be willing to bet that half of The Valley's teams outrecruited WSU.

This appears to be an exciting schedule. It should help sell tickets and it will definitely help with recruiting!

To think, two years ago our most compelling non-conference home opponent was Air Force.

So far we have some certainties and some unanswered questions...any other input?
@missouri St. @wisconsin-Madison @oakland @northern Iowa @south Dakota State @michigan vs. Wyoming vs. Tenn. Tech vs. UAB
possibly: West Virginia Cincinnati
BCA Tournament: Washington State UAB? Central Michigan? Evansville? Illinois State? Creighton? Eastern Mid Major?

The Oakland game is not definitely at Oakland this year. It's phase two of a 2-for-1 with two of the three games being played here. My guess is that the second game, like last year's, will be played at the Cell. The South Dakota State game, which completes a 2-for-1, is here. UAB is not for certain, either, unless someone's officially heard otherwise. I would say that the only confirmed non-conference games are:
vs. South Dakota St. vs. Wyoming vs. Tennessee Tech at UW-Madison at Michigan at Missouri St. at Northern Iowa Bracket Buster (site to be determined)
