I like that idea. Any clue how close that is to happening or what teams we might see? I would hope it would be done to start the year out. That could really bring in some fans early in the year, especially if you bring in some decent teams to play. Would this be one of the potential "big" announcements someone said Bud had made reference to?
Also, how does that work, it only counts as one game on the schedule but all three would be reflected for record purposes correct?

Teddy, all three would count toward the record. The insider suggested that three logical teams would be Washington State, Central Michigan and Evansville, Illinois State or Creighton. And, yes, it would be to start the season. Because it constitutes an exempt tournament, the Panthers would be reduced to a single exhibition: vs. Parkside on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

I have heard Pac-10 and a couple eastern mids. Not the MAC or MVC.
It should be a great way to start the season if it happens.

Fran, were you told what teams would constitute Eastern mids? In other words, would they be schools from the Patriot League, Northeast Conference, MAAC or Atlantic-10, for instance.

While none of those games would be thrilling to the casual fan (less Creighton) I like this a lot. And the simple fact that having a PAC 10 team in our house would have to draw interest. Hope this happens.

Hope this happens. it does help that Washington State would be the team coming, after all, the coach isn't exactly a stranger to this state.

I can't say with certainty, but I believe at least one of the eastern teams would have a local connection.

This will give a young and rebuilding team a better chance at some wins.

So far we have some certainties and some unanswered questions...any other input?
@missouri St. @wisconsin-Madison @oakland @northern Iowa vs. Wyoming vs. Tenn. Tech
possibly: @michigan West Virginia
BCA Tournament: Washington State? Central Michigan? Evansville? Illinois State? Creighton? Eastern Mid Major?
Also, I thought we played Wisconsin-Madison at home this year...or is that next year?

vs. Oakland vs. South Dakota St.
The only road games currently scheduled for next year are Michigan, Missouri St., Northern Iowa and Wisconsin.
