Rob Jeter to be introduced as Men's Basketball Coach Jeremy CycloneFanatic.com Iowa State has completed its brief search for a new men's basketball coach. Jamie Pollard traveled to Wisconsin to have a formal interview with Rob Jeter earlier today and has completed that interview on a good note. Sources confirm that an offer has been extended to Jeter and that offer has been accepted. Jeter will be introduced either Tuesday afternoon or sometime Wednesday. Iowa State is expected to hold some sort of "pep=rally" to introduce the new coach and to share the expectations the team has over the next few years. All indications are that Iowa State will maintain at least two recruits that have committed for next year, and all are possibly sticking with their commitments. Curtis Stinson is expected to sign an agent over the next few days. Will Blalock, on the other hand, is not expected to sign an agent. Jeter is expected to meet with the rest of the team either Tuesday or Wednesday and will also extend an offer to Tasheed Carr to stay with the program. There are no indications on what Carr is expected to do regarding next season. www.cyclonefanatic.com/news.php

Wow. Outstanding. At least we got to find out tonight.
Welcome back to the Dark Ages of UWM basketball.
Even if we return to the Klotsche Center, you all must promise me that you will never become a Marquette or UW-Madison fan.
Remember my final words, "UW-Madison is no friend of UW-Milwaukee."
Later, MSOEfreak

Holy crap...is this really going to happen so soon? I have to say, I do feel a little bad you guys. Jeter used you like 2-dollar whore.
If I were your AD, I'd use the $900,000 to give the next coach even more money, and make the buyout even larger. When he leaves, use the larger buyout to give the next coach more money, and so on. Ultimately, people would not be leaving UWM for money....and if so, make the larger schools pay....
this is one way majors keep mid-majors down...they rob them of their coach for nickels and leave them in a mess....which you guys will be in next year.

Kiss all recruits goodbye.
I said it before and I will say it again, we need to invest in a brand name coach who can bring in national recruits otherwise the program could see some dark years ahead.
