Well said Lou. The least that the members on this board could do is go to the athletic web site and send Rob an email. Going there right now. Actually didn't know you could do that. Thanks.

Didn't ever really think to do that...thank you! I love Coach Jeter and hope UWM doesn't ever lose him.
He's a solid, young coach with an incredible future ahead of him.

I really hope Jeter does not leave that would really hurt the program. How would that look to any recruits when we lose our coach two years in a row. I would like to see Jeter given a nice sized raise and a long term deal to make recruits and fans feel safe about the program.
But at the same time I have a hard time seeing why a AD would invest in a coach that has not really shown he can build or maintain a program yet. Iowa St he has the connection, but why go somewhere where they are on the verge of losing a scholarship or two and have other troubles too.
Congrats coach on a great year and I hope you are here for many years to come.

Butler fan here.
First off congrats on another great season and representing the Horizon League very well again the NCAA tournament.
First off if you guys think that Jeter wouldn't jump at the chance to move up, you are crazy. This situation is very similar to what happened at Butler six years ago. Young, first year head coach inherits a talented team, walks through the Horizon League and blows out a Big 6 school in the first round of the tournament, and then jumps at the first job that is offered. That coaches name was Thad Matta, and look where he is now. Jeter may have ties to Milwaukee and the state, but quite honestly when it comes to moving up the coaching chain they don't mean squat. We at Butler were also delusional, Matta was a Butler grad, his wife was from the area, his parents were only 2 hours away etc...IMHO it does not matter what ties a coach has to the area, assuming he wants to move up the coaching ladder, he will jump at any chance to do so. Unfortunately all the money in the world is not going to change this.
Again, great season, and look forward to renewing the rivalry next year.

Yea i'd imagine he would jump at the chance...but is he gonna get serious offers...thats the real question because he really hasn't proven himself as a coach yet...

I haven't read this entire thread so I apologize if I'm repeating something someone else said, but I have a hard time believing any major would offer Jeter a spot knowing that he has only coached for one year and on top of that, his one year of coaching consisted of taking over and leading a squad that had tons of returning seniors that went to the sweet 16 the previous year. It would be a dumb move in my opinion. Now, if Jeter can do some damage next year with tons of inexperience, maybe.....but I would expect to see him back next year.

Your dead on Big D, but AD's do stupid things all the time that dont make any sense. But I think it is easy to understand why many of us are a bit worked up/concerned about losing another coach.

It would be a dumb move in my opinion. Iowa State's current position seems to be one in which landing anybody with any amount of success would be ok. Their recruiting is going to take a hit with their little scandal they are dealing with. So, in reality, it doesn't seem far fetched for a school that's in their position to land someone who has some good potential. Rob did take over a squad of seniors but he also dealt with a senior squad used to playing a certain way and made them conform to HIS style - which didn't always go over well with players and fans. Don't be surprised if Iowa State makes that offer.

saw this on iowa's board... "Living in Milw and seeing what Rob Jeter has done this year you do not want him. First Rob Jeter has never coached with Bruce Pearl so he does not like to play that style. Second this will be the last year uwm will be above 500 for a while these were all of Pearls players. Third Jeter is so dry when talking to the media it just bores you. Being a UWM fan that had season tickets when Pearl was here and this year with Jeter running the team it was easy seeing Jeter got way to much credit for taking a sweet 16 exciting basketball team to a boring team that got lucky to get in the tourney. I hope ISU takes him to ruin that program even more then Larry Morgan did and Iowa looks to Milwaukee and hires Rick Majuris." - hawkeyeinwi
another genius hawkeye fan said jeter was @ WI w/ bo for 11 years. don't all of you remember way back in 2012 when Jeter left Madison, traveled back 5 years in time to become UWM's coach? hawkeyeinwi must just HATE florida.

Interesting article from last year (Jan '05) on coaches salaries from private conferences. I was curious to see what Mark Few was getting paid to make a comparsion. Guess who this article is also about. We are a very different university than gonzaga but money is always the same color so we know what needs to happen. sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/luke_winn/01/18/inside.bkc/index.htmlThis statement pretty much sums it up... "For Gonzaga, continued investments in Few are investments in the transformation of a Cinderella into a powerhouse. Cinderellas enjoy fleeting success, see their coaches pilfered by schools with bigger pockets and then have to rebuild; powerhouses keep their coaches, make regular NCAA tournament trips and are willing to make financial commitments to stay competitive"I do really doubt that we will lose him this year though. I'm hoping we can build the program enough while he is here to keep him for a good, long time. Now would be a really crappy time to lose him.
