Although todays loss was a tough one I thought it would be beneficial to take a look at our next opponent to try and help with the pain of todays game. I feel that the extended time off will give the guys a chance to clear their heads and work on their shooting. It is evident that the guys are tired; especially Tigert and Boo. Neither seem to have much of shot outside of 5 feet.

We need a LARGE crowd for Thursday. Let's show our team that we appreciate what they do. Don't forget that Thursday is a double-header. We all need to turn out to congratulate the ladies on a fantastic win against UWGB.

Take Good Hope (Milwaukee's version of the Autobahn) to Green Bay Road, if you're headed to UWM I would then take Hampton through Easterbrook to Capital the to Oakland Avenue, that should take you about 25 minutes tops. I would only use that route if the freeway is a mess from construction? I haven't been back to brew town since Summerfest last year.

Take Good Hope to I-43. Exit on Highland and head east yep this is the route i take as i live over by this exit. it takes about 20-25 minutes to get to this exit from where i work. luckily there aren't many cops along Good Hope Rd. during this time period. i appreciate both your efforts.

Can't make the game tonight (first reqular season game of the year) due to grad classes all being at night this semester. But wanted to put by two cents in for what I expect to unfold.
I think the team comes out focused and angry after the last two losses on the road. I see Boo coming out especially focused looking for his shot early to prove the last few have been a fluke and be hot due to the comfort of the cell.
Up 12 at half.
Tucker and Tigert will own the second half as the team pounds the ball down low and make a living at the free throw line as they get some calls to go their way being at home. If they hit them the bench will get some quality minutes in the final 10 minutes of play. Young will put down a monster dunk seeing that I will not be there much like the one he did agaist parkside (the other game I missed this year).
Final score: Milwaukee 78 YSU 67
Hopefully the win and 78 points will quite UWM97's crying on the JS board I have been reading the last week now about how much badgerball sucks and how he hates watching it here.

I'm honored you took the time to read my posts over at the jsonline board. Now would you care to refute a single thing I said??? If you don't care for what I wrote then why not engage me in a debate over there? Or are you the same person as that canucks4life guy I punked and haven't heard from since?

No im not canucks4life. I pretty gave up posting on the JS site since this is where all Milwaukee fans post.
Thats fine that you do not like the swing offense and you think that it is hurting the team right now your entitled to your own thoughts same as everyone else. But the system that Jeter is running is proven to work and work very well. Really does it matter if a team scores 50 points or 85 points as long as they win? I do not think this team would be much better off with a run and gun style due to the lack of three point shooting we have. Boo is the main threat and is no where near as consistent as Ed was last year.
Most fans do not or really should not care about the pace and scoring of the game, usually only casual fans do. Badgerball sure has not hurt support for the badgers as they continue to sell out and have students camp out to get tickets. All most care about are the W's and L's and as long as the team keeps winning it will put butts in the seats, recruits comitting(sp) and donations to the AD coming in. Should we ask for more than that?

No, I like the swing offense. I like pounding the ball inside and think it can be successful. My problem - and I've stated it repeatedly since the start of the season - has been with the pressure, or lack thereof. This ridiculous man-to-man off the inbound only to drop back into the halfcourt once the ball is inbounded just doesn't make any sense. I wish Jeter would commit to it one way or the other. The swing offense and full-court pressure are not mutually exlcusive. We should especially apply pressure when we're not shooting well, as it gives us better opportunities for cheap baskets. The last time the press was truly unleashed was the last four minutes against Detroit. I haven't seen it like that since. In her chat last night, Roquemore tried rationalizing it by saying something like it's harder to press on the road. Then how come it worked against Wyoming, Montana, and Detroit? We didn't apply complete pressure against Wright St. two weeks ago and that was a HOME game. My point in all of this is what we're doing now with the press is pointless and ineffective. Either apply it or don't. Even Roquemore conceded as much.

Oh, and don't feel to honored since I read all the posts and yours just tend to jump out since they are usually negative in nature and revolve around Jeter bashing when things go wrong.
