I like Jeter playing Joah straight up against Alando, but if any of you have been watching the UW games Alando is very athletic and talented and unfortunately is the better tucker in the state. However I think that if Joah comes out like he did in the tournament last year we may just pull out a very big upset.

With the way our defense has been playing, if our shooters can get hot I think we can beat the Badgers. It all comes down to stopping the bigs inside. 64-70 Panthers. P.S. Joah is the better Tucker!

lock down defense and hot shooting are a must for a Panther victory. Joah, Boo, and AT all need to have big nights. i think we'd also have to see one of those x-factor contributers like Hill, etc. to put it over the top. a win's possible but it'll take a tremendous performance.

I'll be in 101, hopefully there'll be enough panther fans spread around the arena to get a stir out of those prissy badger alum. I promise to the board right now that I will never wear a Turtle neck sweater to a panther game.
GO PANTHERS

Mejia on sportsline.com has the badgers winning 76-67, I personally don't think either team will score 60, but hey, that's just me.

so as much as i hate to make pre-game predictions i can't help but do it for this one. since this game really is a head-scratcher due to past games played (last year) and interesting story lines (jeter) i feel it's almost appropriate to make two predictions: the optimistic and the realistic.
optimistic: Milwaukee comes out of the gate eary and establishes a surprising lead, the crowd is taken out to a degree and the seniors show their confidence. Panthers take a fairly comfortable 8 point lead into the final minutes only to see UW claw back in the final minute. Our seniors hold off the run and win by 3, 63-60.
realistic: it's a dog fight early, UW establishes a lead only to see UWM battle back to a single digit deficit. the rally comes up short to see Milwaukee lose by 8, 65-57.
maybe realistic is a bad word choice. i think anything can happen if we're firing on all cylinders. i can't wait to see how this plays out.
GO PANTHERS!!!

Boo is going to be key. We need some 3's tonight, because you know Chris Rock will drop a few.

I love to make pre-game predictions so here is much unanticipated prediction for the game tonight.
Joah gets it rolling early down low and manages to get the other Tucker into some foul trouble. This leads to some open looks for both Hill and Boo who knock down some 3's to build a nice little lead for us 10 minutes into the game (easy looks from UW's bigs fail to fall allowing us to get the lead). Chris Rock and his gang of fellow no name guards attempt to pull UW closer and wind up taking some poor shots from deep which allows us to get out and run a bit. Stupid shots by us late in the 1st half allow UW back in and we lead by 5 at half 41-36 (yeah you read that right).
The second half turns into a ugly, defensive battle where each team sees long scoring dry spells. Tigert has a very solid second half scoring down low and getting to the line along with Tucker and Smith due to them attacking the hoop. UW's size wears on us and they get to the line alot late in the second half. Our senior leadership, desire to redeem lasts years game and a win one for coach attitue allows up to pull this game out 71-68.
I know this seems like a homer pick, but I really believe we can pull this out without the 'perfect' game. I know we need to hit shots early and rebound well, but I think we are due to shoot well for a change and the team has proven they can rebound. I think having Butch banged up negates some of their size advantage. If he had been playing well and 100% no way to I give us a shot.
Then again I thought we could be Memphis, but that was before I had seen them play this year. So here is to dancing on Water tonight (or else I'll be stumbling into a cab at bar closed). Either way it will be a good time.

Guys I hate to say this but I think UW wins this game by 15. I don't think it will be close because of the size advantage UW has over UWM. UW's Big's (especially Chappell) are good solid players that can pass and rebound. But here's to hoping that a miracle happens at the Kohl. If UWM does win I'll be on State Street all night partying with the coeds. Then I'll call in sick tomorrow at work and take several advil for the hangover. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UWWWWWWWWWWWMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Pretty obvious assessment here, but when Avery is in the game...he needs to be guarding Chris Rock. Taking away some of those dagger 3's he's been hitting this year could end up to be the difference.

Panthers will lose by at least 20.
Sorry, just my honest opinion. We're not as big, deep or talented, and unfortunately I think the pupil's team hasn't been playing his system long enough to compete in this one.
I hope they prove me wrong.
