Depressed rant........
1. We sucked it up. OVERRATED! 2. The Badgers are VERY BAD! 3. Our past 2 teams would have beat the Badgers tonight. 4. Cancel the UW/UWM deal, it aint worth it every year. Deep down we all knew this would happen after Valpo. 5. Dream on about MU this season...they are the states best by far... 6. Luckily the Horizon League sucks, there is still chance through the automatic bid. 7. If Ed and the rest of the team doesnt start making shots, it will be a long season in the league. 8. Yes bad refs tonight. But we shot around 20-30% I assume. That wont win any game. We deserved the blow out. 9. Get ready for Kansas...could be painful. 10. Worst UWM game I have watched since Bo Ryan became coach.

okay ill be easy on them
1. we are very lucky tonight that wisconsin played as bad as they did. Ive watched wisconsin and that was bad for them. Unfortunatiely uwm played worse tonight
2. I dont think uwm is as bad as they have looked the last two games. I think the schedule is getting to them and maybe they are tired. maybe thats why the shots are not falling. thank god theres a week off before Kansas
3. Yes our previous opponets were bad but if we shot against them and missed wide open shots like uwm did tonight those game would have been close. The biggest problem is the shots are not falling. Lets hope the shooting comes back before kansas or it will be very ugly

Calm down guys, everyone knows playing at Madison is tough. You guys now understand how we felt yesterday at Durham--completely overwhelmed. This is the plight and life of the mid-major...deal with it! Upsets don't happen all the time, but when they do, its sweet.
The season is far from over. Don't give it up yet! UIC and its fans aren't!!

Playing against UW is like playing against yoru big brother. We can never win. Show some heart...id get sick fo getting my ass handed to me.
I dont understand how our shooting can be so horrible. Someone has to take on a leadership role and step up.
We lack size for sure. Tigert is all we have, but he is not a scorer. Hell give you points, but he would def. prefer to pass and create by screens which he excells at. Ford, turns out he can dunk.. good, great, good job. How about not fouling and maybe jumping when shooting. I think we all watched Mccoy miss a LAYUP off an excellent pass from tucker right away in the begining which may have helped up out early.
Guards need to do more penetrating. Im sick of watching up pass around the perimeter only to throw up a sh*tty 3. Drive for christs sakes.
Well thats it, a win at Kansas would make me feel much better, however I dont see that happening. Are we as good as I thought..nope Can we still win conference and go to the NCAA...yes..and when you break it down, thats all that matters. Gotta work on some things, but it will be interesting to see how the team rebounds after the pathetic showing tonite.

yea and another thing, is it just me or do we never get any loose balls, it seems like every long rebound or ball on the floor either goes the other teams way or once in a while will tie it up, i dont no mayb just bad luck, or maybe we have really clumbsy players, or maybe we have no drive to get on the floor. ahh whatever, we have bigger problems to worry about first.

Are you kidding me? do you really want to stop playing the badgers?
I don't care if we lost by 50. Quit crying about the loss. If you really thought this team was a National Title contending team then you better leave some milk and cookies for Santa. How can you hope that we don't harden up or get used to a major's talent year in and year out. Sure we may not have the best team this year but Joah will be a year older next year, as will Ford, Hanson, etc. You don't quit playing a team because you can't beat them, you keep playing them until you can!
Yes this conference is on a down year, although I still have my reservations that Butler may surprise, we should be able to get the berth. With the berth we are matching the status quo so we can claim 3 conference championships.
My gripe would be the frustrated technicals. We knew the reffing would be bad. How do you think they kept the streak. Live with it, come back down and drain a trey for once.
Did Ed bulk up in the offseason and lose his shot or is senioritis an actual clinical disease?

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!
Sign me up Bruce, I can shoot unconscionably and hit more than 25.5% this team is pathetic when the calls don't go there way. They pack it in and play like why bother. Having a real PG would go a long ways toward fixing this team. Yes Chris is a real PG, Chris is NOT a GOOD pg though. What a waste of 2 hours on the road driving.

What is there to say? Our shooting, lack of, is basically it. We are not a half-court team...we need to run, be agressive and pressure, yet, when we don't make our shots...we can't set up our press. It was just sad to see a team not playing to its full potential just completly spank us.
Ford - if its not a dunk, dont take the shot. Should be in there mainly for defense. Joah - had a tough game, i think his early charges set the tone for him...hes an agressive player and that took him out of his game. hell be back. Tigert and Wright - should be our main weapons down low along with Joah. Wright plays with a lot of heart, but he is also a great finisher (minus that missed dunk at UIC) McCoy should take lessons from him. Hanson - I have no problems in seeing him get more PT. The guy plays with his head in the game. You know what youll get from him everytime he steps on the floor. Ed - I thought he did a better job in penetrating and at least trying to create a shot, but we need more of that. He needs to realize that he dosent only have to take threes, hes quick enough to beat a guy off the dribble, and maybe if hes closer to the basket the shots will fall or he could dish off a la Ford. Boo - to me, the jury is still out, the guy is playing out of position...maybe its time to start hill and bring allan off the bench, while moving boo as a backup to Ed.
Finally... fan - i don't think any of us here are disallusioned with a national championship...however, we do expect some sort of progress from year to year. we can't be satisfied with beating the likes of prairie view and sdsu every year. There has to be some sort of upwards progress shown on a year to year basis, and to tell you the truth, there hasnt been any. I know its bad to compare to previous years, but what else do we have to compare to?

yea, i feel bad for any uwm fans that went to this game, they should be given there money back personally from bruce and the team, man i cant get over it, just a pathetic showing, i mean, yea i didnt expect to win or anything, but come on we were down by 15 most of the game, i mean if we could have just stayed close i got no problem, and as far as not playing them, im talking about the refs, its just like bruce said, its near next to impossible for a mid major to come in and win againts a decent major, the officals are always going to come from the majors conference, and guess who pays these officials, when it comes time to getting a raise the next year, there looking at these types of games and saying thanks, thats why we need national officiating, not going to happen though, thats all im saying, its going to be an automatic loss.

1. Ford is worthless down low unless he is wide open. Two shots blocked by the backboard? Forget about it.
2. McCants - Is he hurt? He came up lame a couple of games ago and I almost wonder if he is hurting. There is no reason for his demise.
3. Hill is doing the best he can. He is not supposed to be the focal point of the offense.
4. Tigert - He's got guts, just no one around him.
5. Boo? What happened to your shooting touch?
6. Goodnight against Kansas.
7. Manhattan will most likely beat this team aswell. They aren't as good as last year, but with this team playing as they are right now, they don't have to be.
8. Can you say 4 game losing streak coming into the conference season? I can.

Ford - had a decent stat line. 4pts, 3 blocked shots, 2 fouls in 14 minutes. True he had the couple shots off the side of the backboard, but it isn't completely completely his fault. The man passing the ball in has to recognize the post mans position also. Same thing with Adrian, twice he was too low and when he got the ball - was behind the backboard.
Ed - SHOW ME, you did it last year.... JUST SHOW ME. PROVE ME (the fan) wrong. You can't worry about the scouts anymore, I think they are gone now.
C Hill- sure, just look to find a couple more shots
Joah - was doing what he always does, just had a bit more trouble knocking them down due to back side help defense.... which Bo really pushes on doing.
James - is not an effective finisher around the basket... never has been a strong offensive presense. I appreciate what he does for energy and on the boards, and lately, somewhat decent on defense.
Nick Hansen - pleasantly surprised, seems to know what he is doing on the court.
Boo D. - Man this guy is a shooter. Knows when to take the open look, and gets to the basket on the drive. Oh yes, a SHOOTER.. not a SCORER.

We really need to consider ending this series. Why play that game every damn year at the Kohl Center?
There is NO WAY it was good for basketball in Wisconsin. In fact, I think it set our program back a few years. I would much rather play a good mid major program or a mid level Big Ten school and have the opportunity to win, than head to Madison every year. Seems pointless to me.
