Attendance update: Big East - 19,375 Big 12 - 18,940 Mountain West - 18,500 Pac 10 - 12,074 C-USA - 11,769 CAA - 11,200 Horizon - 10,437 MVC - 10,171 MAC - 8,926 WCC - 7,186 Big West - 5,341 WAC - 4,372 Patriot - 4,271 America East - 3,845 SoCon - 3,374 Big Sky - 3,182 MAAC - 3,031 OVC - 2,769 Southland - 2,758 (bullsh*t) Summit - 2,105 NEC - 1,700 Atlantic Sun - 1,323 Big South - 1,293 MEAC - N/A Sun Belt - N/A SWAC - N/A Yet to play Big Ten SEC ACC Atlantic 10 _________________________ Notice how I made space separations. This clearly shows that there is a line between high-majors and mid-majors, but there is also a line between mid-majors and low-majors. I think this is one of the biggest problems hindering mid-major fans today. Casual basketball fans see Wisconsin and Marquette and everyone else. What they don't realize is on a bad night, when Milwaukee puts 2,500 in the seats at the Cell, that almost 200 schools in the country would kill to have that actual number in attendance at their games. Edit: Hell, look at the three conferences that were so embarrassed that they didn't even release a number. How many of these games were held on campus or at a school's home court (I'm too lazy to look it up)? That should probably be noted. That being said the Horizon League's numbers are impressive.

Sunday's update nitology.com/bracket031211-2.htmlI hate when people say if a school won't make the NCAA's, well NIT. Baylor, Iona, Nebraska, Maryland, Northwestern, Arkansas and Valpo might not be in the NIT field. It's hard when there is now 14 auto-bids. I'm worried about Northwestern. It's going to be close. They are playing some good ball too. NU is more deserving than the Golden Goooofers at this point. I'd love to see a UWM-Northwestern match up in Madison Square Garden. Ah, dreams. Here's hoping Harvard makes the Big Dance.

Both teams should get an L for that game.
Good move J.P. Tokoto. Good move.

Tonight, the Panthers offered Larry Nance, Jr., a 6-foot-7, 215-pound forward from Richfield, Ohio who averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds a game as a high school senior. I think I remember his dad. www.umhoops.com/recruits/larry-nance-jr/

Sixteen turnovers and 30% shooting. Gross. So many empty trips.

Sorry, Brad Stevens and Matt Howard cancelled the meeting.
Oh well, the better team won. Good luck to Butler. They'll be a tough out for anyone.
Thanks to the Panthers for a great (yet sometimes bumpy) ride this year. Represent in the NIT.

I'd really like to see us be more flexible on our inbounds plays late in the game. I'd love to see us get it to Tony Meier. I realize he's our best inbounder but he's also our best free throw shooter.

We are on for approximately 10:00 P.M. Tuesday. We'll meet at center court of the Cell. I'm expecting appearances by the old guard including ghostofdylan, pantherlou, 'holic, FTA and I'm calling out the freak to make a special appearance.
I'll be the one in black and gold holding the clipboard.
Let's do it Panthers.

I'll let you but I'm thinking Tuesday, March 8 about 10:00 P.M. I know it's a little early and there is a lot of ball to be played, but I'm just thinking ahead. ;D Here is what one of our past meetings looked like: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXppSOry0Xc

Milwaukee in the big show and Northwestern in the NIT. I'll gladly take it. Congrats to the Panther players, coaches, and staff. Congrats indeed, but Milwaukee is not "in the big show." Yet. Unless I missed something, they still have to win the conference tourney which won't be an easy task! I wasn't saying they were in just as NU isn't in the NIT. That's what I am hoping for.
