Gasser was inches away from signing with NU. He was waiting for UW to offer. But this is recruiting so who gives a crap who finished second.

Tom Penders gets it! Jay Bilas: "Takes himself and his opinion far too seriously. I know he works hard and knows the game as a former player, but he goes over the top when he tries to demonstrate a play or gets too technical. He uses basketball terminology like hedging, showing and sealing and never lets the audience know what he’s talking about. He rarely gives credit to the mid-major teams, and when one of them makes the NCAA Tournament as an at-large entrant he throws a fit. . . . He works the Maui Classic every year with Raftery and Sean McDonough and tries to dominate the telecast with his academic ‘know it all’ approach to basketball. . . .Bilas rarely takes a stance on coaching scandals and other controversial topics that Gottlieb will grab by the throat. He needs to lighten up and let the game flow once in awhile. . . .I wonder if he’s given any thought to becoming a professor." www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/118297114.html#comments

Simply ask yourself this: From what outcome would the Panthers gain the most? The answer that lies within will tell you for whom to root. Or be selfish and simply ask yourself this: From what outcome would I be the least annoyed with? For me, it would be a BU win so that the legions of Bucky fans in my life are forced to realize there is a Horizon League that plays D1 basketball and, god forbid, can actually beat B10 teams. I'm hoping for the Rose Bowl of March Madness here (or sometime soon): Yes, Bucky, there are other teams out there.

Can't. Stand. Butler. Yuck. Yep, can't stand a team that actually plays defense and forces a shot clock violation that gives them a chance for victory. Yep. No cheering for Butler here.

Here's how Norris Cole does things: Spend 30 minutes trying to get your teammates involved, give up on them for the last 10 minutes and do absolutely everything yourself. Then lose. 64-56 College of Charleston. All aboard the Wildcat bandwagon. Believe in the power of the purple!

You most likely wouldn't be in the NIT had the NCAA not bought it out a few years back and made automatic bids the norm, so don't be too excited. I am certain if there weren't auto bids, Valpo would be a preferred team for the NIT. Weak.

100 teams make the post season (forget the CIT and CBI) and I care about exactly two and, of course, they play eachother. Dang it.
Go Belmont. Do it!
