According to Insider, Tim Buckley will be the next coach at Loyola. Is that the former Ball State head coach and MU and current IU assistant coach, Tim Buckley? Well, it's not the "Song to the Siren" Tim Buckley...

Heartbreaking loss...would have meant the world to the Cats to play at MSG. Oh well, live by the three die by the three. They played their guts out in a hostile environment. At least they can hold their heads up high with class. WSU? Not so much (see: Deangelo Castro).
Juice Thompson just might be my favorite all time college player. Yes, even over one Von McDade.

Rob's not leaving. He has removed his name from consideration. ...at least, that's what I just was told. I think I am happy about this.

Bruce's First Con, and the World that Created a Monster "I think he will pop up somewhere else," he went on, "and more power to him. People are willing to forget about what happened at Tennessee if he can restore their program."
I told him it sounded as if he now felt bad for Pearl, but Collins quickly interjected.
"I don't feel bad for him," he said. "I do know that when you go into these venues to play other universities, I do know the student body and the fans are very, very cruel to the point where you almost feel like you need to have a guard or have something with you to protect yourself. And I know that for the last few months, he has had to endure some very, very nasty words and some nasty actions that are being thrown towards him. I hate to see anybody go through that, and maybe the best thing for him would be get away for a while and let people's feelings subside."deadspin.com/#!5784437/bruce-pearls-first-con-and-the-world-that-created-a-monster

I know this is going to sound trite...but if Jeter gets taken by Bradley, just how mistaken would we be in keeping in touch with Bruce Pearl? And we have a winner. That took a little longer than I thought.

BP...your posts are making me nervous. You are a lot closer to this situation than most of us and the tone of your posts is making me nervous.

There are a number of components to this story that make me nervous. Costello throwing more money at Jeter a la Bud in 2006 is one of them. As one of my friends on the board told me maybe Jeter is looking elsewhere because Costello is not throwing money at him, ie. no extension.

(Picture a private jet traveling home from an NCAA regional. Suddenly and without warning, the aircraft begins to plummet toward the ground.) Bruce: There's something I have to tell you. Mike Hamilton: What? What is it? Bruce: I cheated in the contest. Brandi: What? Mike Hamilton: What? Bruce: The contest - I cheated. Mike Hamilton: Why? Bruce: Because I'm a cheater! well done, well done...you are a master poster, I mean, a really good poster

Sounds to me like Bradley needs a tireless promoter who will energize and inspire the fan base by winning instantly. Frankly, core fans of the Braves just don't have much time left. I should add that Bradley graduates its talented senior guard triumvirate of Andrew Warren, Dodie Dunson and Sam Maniscalco. Sam Maniscalco is transferring to Illinois. sports.espn.go.com/chicago/news/story?id=6221961&campaign=rss&source=ESPNUHeadlines
