I'd consider Bid as a replacement. A token interview, yes. A serious candidate, no.

Tommy Amaker turned down the position to remain with Harvard per Jeff Goodman of FOX Sports. In other words, his wife made him stay with her at Harvard.

Chris Collins is on that list. He's got to get his chance one of these days. My favorite (and only?) Chris Collins story: His dad Doug is doing commentary for the 1991 NBA draft. Von McDade gets drafted in the second round by the New Jersey Nets. Doug Collins' comment? "At least my son Chris can go to bed now. His favorite player has been drafted."

Today, the Panthers offered Andre Ingram, a 6-foot-7, 235-pound power forward from Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan. The head coach at Butler CC is Mike Bargen who played for Marquette in the mid 90s.

Those Pearls are classy... Steven Pearl Laughs On Twitter At Dad’s UT Replacement
Jack Dickey — You didn't really expect Bruce Pearl and kin to exit Knoxville quietly, with great dignity, especially when Tennessee didn't wait a full week before hiring a replacement, Cuonzo Martin, did you?
Yet, in a stunning upset, it was Pearl's son, Steven, who averaged 2 and 2 in 11 minutes as a senior this season, who opened his mouth and stuck his foot right in it.
"All I can do is laugh and say good luck sir," @spearl22 tweeted, before deleting his account.deadspin.com/#!5786366/steven-pearl-laughs-on-twitter-at-dads-ut-replacement

Good thing Rose was able to find something to make him play hard. Gotta love the NBA.

Those were good times! What's Pat McCabe up to these days? I had a class with Eugene Sims and Ray Perrine wound up coming to the courts behind Sandburg to play pickup once. TBone is old school...I miss McCabe posting on the board. Eugene Sims and Ray Perine are two great Panthers. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them play. They are right up there with my all time favorite Panthers, right behind Von McDade and Craig Greene.

Halfway there Butler. Twenty more minutes and Bucky is done for the year. I hope.

Sure do. Goes back to Antrim days, maybe even before. Good guy. He and Ron Hunter were quality assistants. Bonus points for pnthr97, a true Panther. Steve Antrim....the good old days. Good times. Good times.

This post will fall on deaf ears (eyes?) to about 99% of the board (and will probably get buried on the night of the sweet 16) but here it goes. How about a Greg Capper sighting in the Journal Sentinel print edition today? Who knew he was the girls Varsity coach at Whitefish Bay?!
So, who on this board remembers Greg Capper? Old school Panther fans? Anyone?
