He had some bright moments, but he isn't athletic, doesn't move well and doesn't provide too much offensively. Wish him well, but he isn't a starting player at the Division I level.

I need to speak my mind. You have been so overly critical and rude about Joey all season. Your comments have been downright mean. Joey was an excellent shot blocker who led the Horizon League in blocked shots for over half the season. He finished off the season in 2nd place in the conference with 44 blocked shots which ranked 4th highest in Panther history. He had many good games and finished off the season strongly with a double-double (16 points and 10 rebounds.) He also had a very good field goal percentage of 59% which ranked first on the team. There were definitely parts of his game that could be improved upon but your cruel comments made it seem like he was the worst player on the team (which was definitely not the case.) There is a way to offer constructive criticism without being downright cruel. The world needs more kindness in my opinion.

We do need more kindness in the world and Joey certainly did bust his backside for his school. He played with hustle and pride!

He might be a gentleman and a scholar for all I know im talking about his ability to be a starting big man on a D1 team. I could go into a deeper breakdown of it but apparently critiques of the players arent allowed here? God forbid i critique the roster of one of the worst UWM teams of all time and one of the worst teams in the nation this year.
Your kindness comment is just straight up weird too. These are adults on scholarship, this isnt intermurals brother.

It isn't a personal attack on Joey, but a honest comment on his play and the overall talent on our team this season. He wouldn't have even been on one of Jeter's teams. On a side note, it seems to be his mom commenting back, so I don't blame Karen for defending her son. She's just being a Karen.

It is what it is, JSP got to play D1 a dream basically every kid who played varsity basketball had.

JSP played.
PBJ didnt.
I give Joey way more credit. He may not have been the most talented big man MKE has seen, but he played hard, cant knock that.

JSP was a walk-on from a d2 school. He shouldn’t have been having to play big minutes for this team because he is outmatched in every game. Direct the blame to the a coaching staff who couldn’t recruit any other big men and put him in a tough role to play.

It's one thing to talk critically about the performance of the players on this team, but it's out of line to talk about the players' family and downright criticize them - if it is indeed his mother. There was absolutely nothing "Karen" about the initial response. JSP may not have been the next coming of AT, but he went out and gave a helluvan effort, which is a lot more than can be said about some others on the team. And the response from supposedly his mother was absolutely correct - nothing "Karen" about it. Your response ironically proves the point that we could use more kindness in the world.

Can we get back to talking about the roster? Someone felt the need to call me out for a pretty tame post. Like I said I could go into a deeper breakdown on every player on this team this year and tell you why they shouldnt play at this level. No one is trying to be rude or attacking any player as a person, but if you act like JSP transferring is a negative to the program idk if you were really watching the games or just looking at the statlines and seeing that JSP blocked a fair amount of shots in maybe the worst conference in the country. FWIW Bol had monster block numbers when he saw the floor more consistantly. Did Joey play hard most games sure, did every player lose focus many times this year yes, is that on the coaching yes, but if we cant look at bringing in better players what are we doing here? As someone who said I think an AAU coach wins 3 more games this year then PBS hard to act like im putting full blame on the players.
