Bullsh*t. He can't negotiate with anyone until Iowa St's season is over. And would she really be smart enough to want to hire this great of a candidate in the first place?

I agree that its probably not true. And retaining or bringing back homegrown talent to work in the State/City they were raised and educated is a goal for most universities. I obviously want TJ to get the job among others mentioned thus far.

If we hire anyone from DePaul for anything regarding Men's Basketball or Athletics in general, count me a Michigan Wolverines fan.

If you guys think that any top tier candidate is going to come here right now, you are kidding yourself. This program is now a raging dumpster fire. The AD is incompetent, the players are all furious and the donors are giving the AD the double middle finger. BUT we play in the Horizon League which should provide enough allure to offset all the aforementioned issues. </sarcasm>

Oh and don't forget the expectations of finishing 3rd or better and competing for the title. Who is going to take that job? We will be lucky to get anyone.

The head coaching jobs at Madison only follow the letter of the law. No one believes that they go through the same rigor for those positions they do for other University jobs....Nor SHOULD they. Those jobs are not "regular" jobs anyway....every candidate is already known and the schools chase them, not the other way around.
Oh, and as I recall, they all seem to make more than the "law" allows, too. These laws are ignored, for good reason, on a regular basis.

Which don't you think is happening? That we'll have that many scholarships to fill or that a new coach won't be able to fill them in that short amount of time? We already have three open with the Seniors leaving. Jordy and Akeem make that five. I'm sure there is going to be a few more who don't return. I'm thinking 6 is probably the minimum.
