Well, I am glad I started such an interesting discourse with this topic, a much needed discussion. I admit, I am old and sit in the seats on the far right just above the standing fans. I go with my fiance, so I'd feel a littel strange going up there since I am a 27 year old grad student. I am just so pissed looking at kids who have no idea how to be crazy. I was about to stand on a chair and start calling everyone utter disappointments as a student section, but that would be utter hipocrisy, since I don't do crap. You may remember me from a few seasons back, wearing a four foot afro wig and humping the Cell Phone Mascot at halftime: www.sportsphds.com//images/events/2004/bracket.bust/bracket.bust.022.jpgI also have this picture of "fan": www.sportsphds.com//images/events/2004/bracket.bust/bracket.bust.010.jpgLook at how crazy those guys are. Freaking awesome. I have an itching to pull the 4 footer from the attic and make another drunken escapade into the right to get them going.

Not every person needs to attend the organizational meetings, but as Freak said their needs to be some planning involved by a smaller group. It really only takes 10-15 people spread throughout the section along with cheer sheets and people will follow, most just don't know the chants

I said it before and I will say it again. I think it begins with the cheerleaders. Never before do I remember them being so quite during games, giving up on cheers so soon. While its all fine and good as students to get things going its the cheer-leaders job to do so.

The reason the student section is having problems is because U-W-M (clap) is one of the only chants everyone does, nothing unique. I really don't think most people know chants like nuts & bolts, condom, orgy, and sex; at least i didn't until i saw some them on cheer sheets that were passed out by the old krazies. Plus the krazies used to do team specific or player specific chants that nobody would have been able to catch on to without cheer sheets.

Go back a little in your archives and you'll find a couple where I couldn't make it up and down the stairs very well. As for Cowboy's points, I think if you'll look back a little earlier in this topic you'll see a "right-sider" expressing that they know the condom, orgy, sex chants, but the do not find them funny, thus choosing not to use them. Additionally, it seems quite difficult to me for there to be 10-15 spread-out leaders being able to recognize and chant together. A walkie-talkie system with headsets would make this easier but also lamer. As for teddy's comment, the cheerleaders can't chant things that made the Krazies famous. It is true that they are lacking in their cheers department but we shouldn't rely on them. The easiest solution is for the section to backup onto the bleachers and allow for the roaming lane we once had. The long-term solution that in some ways I like and some I don't is that students will have to pay for seats or a special front couple rows for those who went to the most games the year before. Cowboy brought this up with me once I believe and it seems to be the only logistical fix unless Milwaukee relaxes its drinking laws and allows us to have a countless number of freshman come over and drink at a huge house party. There were some cheers that involved player names and team names this year. For example: "Limp Wood" in regards to Deshaun. I'm poor and can't continue to shell out money towards sheets that no one reads. If someone has a deal on copies I'd be happy to create a sheet for each game and distribute it. Again, with cheer sheets we arre somewhat limited to appropriate cheers.

i like the idea of a roaming lane down front. maybe get the SBGC in on it and "designate" an offical section cheerleader. name him king krazy or whatever.
copies are expensive. emails are free, facebook postings are also free. lets move into the electronic age with cheer sheets.

I don't know how to invite anyone in particular, but if "the right" has any representation on this board then they can pass along the word. "the right" is myself, jdbrew, panthers6thman and lucidfateaway. there's also another guy and girl but they aren't registered on the board. which they should be. you know who you are . p.s.- it feels really weird being on "the right" since i'm always on the left ;D You guys are counting yourselves as the "right"? If anything, I'd say you're the "Mid-left"

Anyone watch the Kansas at ISU game on Saturday? ISU has a very involved and vocal student section. One of their favorite cheers is an old one but a good one:
"Here we go Cyclones, here we go" CLAP CLAP
Wouldn't mind hearing "Here we go Panthers, here we go" CLAP CLAP
