Maybe today, yes, but that is changing at Milwaukee as fast as anything. The interest among alums keeps growing, and that's where the money comes from for all the BCS schools, too.

Not to sound too redundent or like captain obvious, but I agree with all the posters who call this a make or break time in our program's history. It will be awfully difficult to remain successful for the future should we lose Coach Jeter. Finding new recruits, learning a new system could very well be a back breaker. There is no doubt that Bud has done a fabulous job in finding and replacing coaches, but at some point the well runs dry. We have got to make this job as attractive as possible=$$$$$$$$$$$$ (to start).

I have to agree with uwmfootball...I don't have a good feeling about this.
God I hope I'm wrong, but it is the unfortunate situation of being a successful mid-major. We just don't have the resources to compete with bigger schools.
And when I say resources, I mean; money for salaries, money for facilities, opportunities for recruits/players.
It's tough, I know...

well, losing Jeter would be bad, but look what SIU has done. how many coaches have they lost? they seem to be a perennial NCAA player despite the losses. what's brought us to our current status has been a very good AD that knows how to hire good coaches. as long as Bud is here, we'll be ok.

While I definetely don't want Coach Jeter to leave, if he does, can we blame him? Going to a school with more money and much better facilities is going to leave us dry every time. It takes money to fix it, but where do we get it from?
By tomorrow I hope we are all talking about our success this season, and our hopes for next season with Coach Jeter at the helm.

Hopefully he wont pull a Brett Favre and sit on this for the entire recruiting period. He needs to come out tonight, so we have time to recruit!

I believe he is in Iowa today...
Hopefully we do not have to wait long one way or the other.

If anyone thinks he wont leave because Iowa St is a bottom feeder in mens hoops and is second two football needs to wake up right now. Remember last year when everyone said, why would Pearl go where mens hoops is third behind football and womens hoops. Money talks and if Jeter gets a commitment from the AD, who is his friend, to mens hoops and the money is decent he is gone. We can just cross our fingers at this point and hope he feels Milwaukee is a better place for him and his family for the time being.
I agree, if he is going to leave he I hope he decides by tomorrow so we can move on get a new coach and start recruiting.

If he is in Iowa he is gone. Damn, two coaches in two years this is starting to hurt.

No, if he's in Iowa, it's as a courtesy to his good friend Jamie Pollard. Let's try and stay away from a windows a bit.

Look at this from the players point of view.
How used do you feel right now? (If in fact Jeter does leave after only one year.)
