I agree with PNP that you don't learn anything about the team with the way things were done last year. Maybe what we need are two separate events?

Ya, that wasn't said at all about team chemistry. The scrimmage was zero defense. Brutal to watch. You learn zero. Just do other events if that's the case. The scrimmage isn't for diehards. That being said, next year I'd like a return to a true midnight madness that takes place *ahem* at midnight, for students. Intresting. I believe most would say a scrimmage is for the die hards. It's wasn't that long ago this event was for STH only. The midnight madness is a thing of the past, yet that idea of doing something close in a later evening on a Friday to get students to come might be a good starter.

If you’re a diehard, ideally you’d like to attend as many events having something to do with the team as possible. Not being able to make it is one thing, but being free and not going is another.

We can't get students to a game on a Friday night or weekend afternoon consistently. Making a one-time event for students at midnight on a Friday seems to make very little sense - at least until we can start to see increased student attendance at the actual games.

I won’t be there since I was swimming in the Aegean Sea earlier today. Looking forward to the hot takes.

I'm going to guess that the adult crowd goes mild over this "scrimmage," but there are plenty of other things in this program to be excited about, which isn't something that I thought I'd be typing three years ago.

We seem to be 10 deep with guys who could start on any night. It's going to be interesting how Bart manages the lineup, ego and crunch time minutes.
I see for a normal 5, this is likely the group Bart goes with.
Pg: Fulks Sg: McKee Sf: Pratt Pf: Stillwell C: Fields
A lineup replacing Themus with KP and sliding Pratt to PG gives us the best offensive production.
Lovelace and Learic are going to be an athletic terror of a duo on defense. Absolute floor tilters on defense.
My biggest takeaway is the chemistry of the team. They all seem to like one another which couldnt be said the previous 2 years. And no one shooting by themselves on one end or sitting down on the floor when things were going on.

This describes much of what we witnessed at an August practice, FTA. Faizon and Darius didn't participate that day, but it's reasonable to assume that they will be instrumental.
