Swept the Pirates at home.
The Diamondbacks will be a tougher challenge.

Yes , an over reaction. The Brewers are the best team in the central, and if healthy, will have the front line starters to compete with anyone in the postseason.
But why TF are we putting up with Jesse Wanker and his slow bat?
Have Keston Hiura play DH. He’s batting .340 with huge power numbers in triple A. Even at his worst in the ML he didn’t look as bad as Winker. Frelick should be called up any day now to fill the hole in the outfield. Bring up Keston too. Our offense has had too many holes in it.

Keston had a nice first month at Nashville but is coming off of an injury that has kept him out for several weeks. Hopefully, once he returns to Nashville, he can pick up where he left off. Before the Brewers remove someone from the 40 man roster to add him, he must show that he is has the potential to be more than a 4A player. He did look good before the injury, so let's hope. As for Winker, he does need to prove his worth soon. He did have a nice rehab stint at Nashville last week. I'd like to see if he can replicate that at the major league level. I think the Brewers will give him another chance for at least the next couple of weeks, maybe until the all star break. If he does not produce by that time, I would expect them to part ways or "find" another injury. In the meantime, I am cautiously optimistic that his health has come far enough along to pick up the slack very soon. We will see.

Yes! Even if the car is leaking oil a little bit, the team still has 100 days left to fix it. The season is a marathon.

I can’t with this Jesse Winker BS. The offense looked serviceable yesterday. They put him back in the lineup today, and he’s already killing rally’s. Are we trying to tank at the deadline to ship Burnes ? I can’t imagine any other reason you keep playing a DH hitting below .200 with 1 HR.

Winker was facing Justin Verlander. Lots of Brewers failed to get runners home.
Joey Wiemer hit a two-run homer off a Mets reliever and the Crew hung on to win 2-1.

despite all the ups and downs, the brewers are in first place as we head to the end of the month. sure the record isnt great-41-37, 5th worst among the 6 division leaders- but we're still winning the division. yes, given the way things are going. All winning this division gets you is up to 3 home games in a playin round against the 3rd wildcard - currently LA- but consider the alternative. we could be oakland, literally playing out the string before being moved and on pace to seriously challenge the 62 Mets for most losses in a season outside the 1899 Spiders. we could be the Mets, who spent 400-500 million bucks on the roster , only to be 16 games out of the division and 8.5 out of the 3rd wildcard at this point.

Don’t get me wrong , I’m satisfied with how well we are playing, considering our injuries. We have the pitching to win the World Series, especially when Woody comes back. We need to bring up Sal Frelick and Keston Hiura (specifically to replace Winker) and probably grab another bat at the deadline.

"There was a little girl, Who had a little curl, Right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, She was very, very good, But when she was bad, she was horrid."
The Brew Crew's season, in a nutshell. If they can get their injured players back and develop some consistency, they should win the division.

The well known adage is good pitching beats good hitting.
Will this series result in a new adage - bad pitching beats bad hitting???

huge rally by the Crew today, down 6-0 to the Cubs after 3 , end up winning 8-6 and move ahead of the reds into the division lead for the moment.
