As good as Jalen Moore is, I think the key to this one is not letting Blake Lampman explode from deep. Whenever he goes off from 3 Oakland usually wins, and if they don’t they are right in it. Good call on Lampman |

Irrelevant with the win, but BJ didn't necessarily need to shoot a 3 at the end of regulation. Looking at the replay, Rand was wide open for a layup, with just under 2 seconds left. Wonder if BJ would've given a quick enough pass to Rand for him to get a good layup. That has been a bad habit this season for our guards, happening way too much. It's bad enough Rand and Bol only get part-time minutes, despite shooting 60-80 FG% when they do touch the ball in the post. We need to get better at finding them when they are wide open for a gimme. On BJ's breakaway layup, even though he made it, Elijah (I think, else it was Angelo) was *Wide Open* for a corner 3. Granted, our 3's weren't really going in, but I saw it, and it was such an open opportunity. I get it with BJ, he's more of a scorer, but you have to put your own points aside to help the team win. Plus, I keep saying it, these are young guys who are still learning (3/4 of our regular players are freshmen or sophomores), so they'll be more mature and know more next season. |

I watched the play again...it would have been a tough pass to Rand tbh. I am cool with BJ chucking from his spot over there...and it wasn't like we had a ton of time so just need to make sure to get a shot up IMO. |

It was a fun game to watch in person. One of those games you will remember for a long time.
On another positive note, I drive for Uber and I always mention the Panthers. I'm finding that people are starting to become aware of the turn around. Last night I had four UWM students in the car. They said they'd been to games in the past but missed this one for a birthday dinner. They also said that students are starting to talk about the team something that hasn't happened in awhile.

That’s great. My son isn’t a huge sports fan but he’ll go to some games. It’s just a fun thing to do.
I’ll finally get to a game in two weeks in the last home game.

Just watched the 2nd half as nothing is on TV tonight.
-Oakland had 60 points at the 16 minute mark. Scored 17 in the final 15 and 5 minutes of the overtime.
-Final 5 minutes Panthers were lucky Oakland didn't score on at least two to three times down they kept on getting offense boards. One was a airball that fell in the hand of a Oakland player. Yet, he took a dribble and a shot clock ran out.
- Hope this is the coming out party for Vin Baker Jr. Looked smooth on his shot and comfortable around the rim.
- Under 8 minute mark Panthers got it to 6. Crowd was loud on the boardcast. Many camara shots looked filled in with people. Almost everyone who had a ticket showed up.
-Fun game. Always great to win.

My favorite moments are the JT lob to Ahmad to tie it at 75 in regulation (you can hear the crowd roar) and BJ’s 3 in OT to put us up 80-77. Those had to be two of the loudest plays I’ve ever been a part of at Panther arena. Hope we get a ton of people to show up 2/25 for CSU. |
