This is where we see what type of coach Bart is. Can he keep the trust of his guys or will it spiral like it did for PBS. Honestly, it seemed/still seems as if Lundy either never completely had it, or has lost whatever "trust" he did have after the guys' heads got too big after their 1st place win against YSU 5 games ago. Since that game, this team has played selfishly and carelessly, the opposite of the team they were before leaving for Ohio. They give maximum effort only when it might lead to them "getting theirs". This has been most noticable from the guards (which is just about every single player on this team). Sadly, it appears as if Lundy's substitution patterns have been his last ditch effort to correct these attitude issues and play, but to no avail. Maybe he needs to double down and continue it for the entire game, like he did for much of the 1st half vs GB? After all, at least we were up at the end of the first 20 minutes while playing much of our bench. But then Lundy stuck mostly with the starters after halftime. I'm not even going to touch on how horrifyingly stubborn and stupid it is for any coach not to direct his team to foul when up 3 in the final seconds - especially with a foul to give. It's been properly covered here, as it should be. No coach, or coaching philosophy, is perfect - especially at this level. Even if Lundy is by far the smartest coach in the HL, he still can be better, and hopefully he reflects and learns from his mistake in refusing to consider using a tactic that would have practically guaranteed us a win in regulation. |

I just now have had a chance to catch coach's postgame comments. Very refreshing, and does change a lot of how I feel and wrote 2 posts up!

For anyone who cares or keeps track, we dropped from 172 to 195 in the NET. Barring a procedural seed line bump, or both winning out and getting massive luck/help with low-major conference tourney upsets, we're now looking at a 16 seed... *if* this team can get back to playing as a team, and wins the HL auto bid.

This is a key moment in the program going forward. Coach needs to get to these guys and restore some humility, discipline and team attitude. Very young team but since YSU we have been off and surprised this did not happen sooner frankly. It really stung though that it happened at home not defending our court against in state grossly inferior rival. Per previous posts this has happened so often in front of good crowds which are rare. Was that our largest crowd of the season? The other thing. I love Bart lundy and no one is perfect. What a class guy apologizing for not taking the foul . What is mystifying though is why he flubbed that again especially afterit happened before. Where are the assistant coaches?

Attendance: 2,419. Crowd definitely got into it late. Would be nice for a little more interaction during the mid parts of the game, but overall very nice number.

When was the last time the fan base got so dejected from losing to a bad team? Speaking of bad teams, most of us had gotten used to losing to Detroit prior to this year. I suspect most of us expect to beat them Thursday. I believe lessons will be learned from GB and we will win Thursday.
Shoutout to Bart Lundy, the Staff, and the Players for raising the expectations back to where they should be.

I would like to think that nothing needs to be said to the players - that a loss of this nature lights a fire under every single one of them. But I've thought a near loss in the past would do so too. I'm confident coach will go to work - whether the players respond or not...we'll see. One thing I do expect Thursday. Davis is going to get his. And if we play like we have the last few games, we're in for another long night. |

Lundy’s response to the loss is definitely better than the “I don’t know what we can do” and “Hey we were up in the first half so we played a good game” junk we have heard in the past few years. Still, I think the team needs a ton of maturity to have a shot against a red hot Mercy team and an Oakland team that crushed the Panthers a little over a month ago. Actions speak louder than words, and I’ve seen enough of at least a few players this year to have my doubts about whether they will mature.

It's time for Lundy to pull out the "You haven't done a damn thing" card. The guys might have garnered some accolades and milestones in their careers, but this TEAM hasn't done a thing. So let's see what they've got!!!

Yeah every game, this was Lundy's worst coached game of the year, no doom and gloom from me. Green Bay played us tough. Need to make the transition to the hunter. Realistically, you’re right. I’m just upset, and it’s probably a good thing to be this upset after an abomination of a game. It means the team actually has something to play for. Just needed to vent a bit. Its a young team with no real PG, you are going to get games like this when that happens. Just saw lundy's comments good he knows he coached a bad one last night. Good tape for everyone and a reminder that no ones going to roll over now that youre near the top. EVeryone should watch this video from one of the goat coaches. |

I was a bit confused by Vincent was getting minutes in the first half. No disrespect to him or what he could be, but he had not played in a game in like 3 weeks. It seemed like early the staff was not treating this like a true HL game and that came back to bite us as GB had the energy for the rivalry throughout the game. I fully agree. And if the coaches aren't treating it like it was more than a light scrimmage, the players won't either. |

I have a list of Horizon D-Boards on MP Tracks and the recruiting map app (link below) and occasionally check in on other fan bases. Anyways I checked over on the phearthephoenix forum and... I can say just 2 things. (1) Jimmy has much more communicative restraint than most people. And (2) Holy sh** this win got to their heads- we have to obliterate them the next 20 times we play. sample: "That’s on you man, you can’t get the team fired up. Green Bay whooped your ass just admit it. I can’t wait till this hire is complete and we continue wiping the floor against Fart Lundy and company""Send an APB out on all the kitty kat "fans" that have been radio silent. Milwaukee talked alot [sic] of junk and got what they deserved last night IMO""He forced that technical on Rand. Quite the wild move for that scumbag thinking he was cool dunking 5 seconds after the whistle.""Also, I am not surprised to see him easily get UWM rattled. Somethings never change with them and they will always be losers"Then again... at least some GB fans have perspective: "We are NOT going to lose 30 games this season!!"  |
