If we are understanding Jared Calhoun’s comments about requiring 4 buy games against quad 1 and 2 teams correctly, and if Lundy is serious about wanting more home games, I’d have to think that something like this would have to be fairly regular. As of right now, we are allowed 27 games before MTEs. 20 of those games are already conference games; 22 if a 12th team is added to the league. That leaves 5 more non-MTE games. As of right now, we have 2 home-and-homes going, so that gets us to 22 games, of which 11 are home games. If we have to add four buy games against quad 1 or 2 schools to the schedule, that takes us to 26 games. That leaves us with one non conference game left before an MTE. That could be the homecoming game. That’s 12 home games, and if we’re serious about wanting more home games, it would seem that a home MTE may need to the the norm.

SEMO wins in overtime. Pretty neat that the team I saw the Panthers soundly beat on the Monday after Thanksgiving is going to the NCAA Tournament. It would be exponentially more neat if the team you saw soundly beat SEMO the Monday after Thanksgiving goes to the NCAA tournament!
