Wait! We're picked for NINTH?! This is what? The fourth consecutive year of a roster overhaul that now adds a new coach and a completely new system? I don’t blame anyone for being skeptical. Preseason rankings are meaningless. The only use we get out of it? Blow it up and put it on the bulletin board. Stack Good Days.

Reason to believe In the matter of only a few months of his hiring, Lundy put together a roster long on athleticism and versatility. His 20 years of experience as a head coach have prepared him for this moment, and he and the Panthers are hungry to prove their preseason pick as the ninth-best team in the 11-team Horizon League is too low.
Reason to doubt As good as Lundy is expected to be, integrating 13 new players might prove to be a Herculean task. There is also precious little Division I experience on hand, which means many key contributors are going to be learning on the job. The Panthers’ first two Division I opponents are Purdue and Iowa State, so there won’t be any easing in.

This likely won't happen but if the Panthers were to take out Purdue and Iowa State, expectations blow through the roof and suddenly everyone shows us as the team coming out of the Horizon League. I personally cannot wait for the Purdue game. I am JACKED to go see this and I'm psyched to be on the bus with some of you guys. Let's do it!

Why are we wasting our time on hypotheticals that have zero shot of happening. Maybe we will even get an invite to the big 10. Because it's fun to dream. Sometimes you dream about what you'd do with $30-40 million, like buying the naming rights to the U.S. Cellular Arena or building a state of the art practice facility, then the universe decides those aren't bad ideas and pushes things your way. Yeah, the Panthers are probably going to lose. You and I were on that Twitter Spaces the other night and we both predicted the team was going to lose by double digits to Purdue. I just want to push the conversation along. We need more conversation on the board to drum up popularity. I don't want to wait for the postseason to bring people back and get others interested. On that note, I want to build up the message board's membership and engagement. So I've purchased the domain "uwmfreak.com" and forwarded it to this website, so if anyone wants to share this with their fellow Panther fans they can do so there.

We're at the official halfway point of the regular season, and we've already matched our win total of 10 last year. A great turnaround so far by Bart and the team this year. Aside from the Oakland game, which I'll consider was the result of nearly 3 weeks of rust, what's become an identity of this team is their resiliency.
This team just doesn't stop playing, and no matter how bad or down they're playing, they still keep fighting. At least 3-4 of their wins so far have come from them just not quitting, like they did last season.
I would've been happy with 15-17 wins this year, but 20+ is really plausible now.

My baseline regular-season expectation now has a 17 as the first number, but I remind myself to enjoy the journey as we go. Keep stacking good days and wins, Milwaukee!

I feel like at the present time I'm toggling between c***eyed optimism and unbridled enthusiasm. Man, it just feels so good to be in first place again. Let's make this last. To that end, Bart sure appeared to be confident at Goolsby's tonight!

Before the season I never would’ve expected to see “Milwaukee” in Lunardi’s bracketology. Currently a 16 seed!

16 seed with a potential showdown with bucky in round 2. keep winning and that seed line should rise.

Before the season I never would’ve expected to see “Milwaukee” in Lunardi’s bracketology. Currently a 16 seed! The 2005 team was a 12 seed. I’d like to think that’s as high as they’d ever rank a HL team, so as long as we keep winning games, I think it would be very hard for them to keep us as a 16. I feel like Al Davis when I say, “just win baby”

I feel like Al Davis when I say, “just win baby” Do you realize how different the Horizon League was constituted in 2005? It was ranked 11th or 12th strongest conference back then. Now, it's 27th or 28th. A 12 seed is a pipe dream! Butler was an 8 coming off a Final Four appearance. That was the highest HL seed ever.

I wouldn’t be surprised to get a 15 if we only lose 2-3 more games and win the tournament as a 1 seed. If we finished 3rd or 4th in the conference and win the tournament, we would for sure end up a 16.
I think Cleveland State was projected as a 15 (maybe even 14) seed last year but obviously didn’t make it. The reason the league keeps getting 16 seeds is because the top team doesn’t win anymore because of the stupid neutral site tournament.

Fair enough, but it’s hard to ignore a potential 20+ win team when considering seeds 12-15.
