IPFW is definitely in the first tier of teams they Made the championship last year and return just about everyone. If we go 500 this year and progressively get better as the year goes on I’ll be happy.

This is the definition of guesswork. We literally have nothing to go on except Lundy’s D2 record. That may translate or it may not. The roster profile is functionally identical to the last five seasons. Same mix of players from Juco, D2, the low D1 transfer market and HS for whom this program (cough) was generally the best offer. So we are entirely reliant on whether Lundy’s talent evaluation and recruiting ability is better than the last two coaches. I certainly hope it is, because we were terribly talent deficient in that stretch. But the proof will be in the pudding.
Lundy deserves a year to get things organized. The league is horrible so there’s an opportunity for a top four finish. But whatever happens this coming season I expect sustainable positive results in year two. We knew by year two that PBS was a huge mistake. We’ll have a very good idea about Lundy by the end of his second season too. To say the least, our AD has established a VERY low bar for “success” during her tenure being responsible for our men’s basketball program. That will give Lundy some breathing room.
Of course, by firing her last mistake and hiring a new guy she gave herself a couple more years of breathing room too. Funny how that works, isn’t it?

However, we are reliant on a lot more than Lundy's talent evaluation and recruiting ability. Perhaps even more so, we are reliant on his and his assistants' ability to lead and coach these young men, both on and off the court. Because Lundy is a proven winner as a collegiate head coach, I am optimistic about the program and excited for the upcoming season(s).

Uh, yeah. As I said, we have his D2 record to go on. (I’m kindly ignoring his less than compelling D1 record because it was a long time ago and I assume he’s become a better coach since then.) We all hope his D2 success translates. We all also know the D1 landscape over the years has been littered with plenty of guys whose earlier successes at lower divisions didn’t. We’ll see. As I said, he deserves a year to get things organized before we judge him. I’m hopeful that our AD got this hire right. I mean, the blind squirrel theory and all that.
And I don’t do “narratives,” Peter Pan. Facts are facts in my world. Say hello to Tinkerbell for me.

Gelo upper left. Vincent upper right. Vincent, Gelo, Keon, Thomas Taylor, Bol, Johnson and Holt (Can't figure out who this is, but it doesn't look like Holt) bottom left. Vin, Markeith, Keon, Holt, Vincent. Gelo, Snipe, Thomas Taylor, Bol, Howell bottom right. These are my best guesses. Corrected a couple of these. Dominic Ham is the one I couldn’t figure out. That’s all I know. Must be a walk-on.

I think Jalen Johnson is going to be a STUD. Big body and a scorer and all conference type player. Had 30 against Cincinatti.

This group should be the expectations of the future of the program. No one better.
