Either that, or there was/is some back room dealings and quid pro quo at play regarding his pops and a possible contract extension. We won't know until/if his father gets an extension, that he clearly has no business deserving.

If he waits as long to announce he’s entering the draft as he waited to commit, he might be able to hornswoggle AB into giving his Dad a nice extension before he does. It would be par for the course at our brilliant program.

I still have a hard time believing that so many people were so wrong about PBJ. My prediction is ff performances like this continue, I wouldn't be surprised if turf toe occurs over the next few games, he sits out the rest of the year. Then transfers to whatever top 20 program will hire his dad as an assistant. Then with a real head coach he remembers that he's awesome at basketball and has a fantastic year and becomes a lottery pick again.

I think it was probably tried again while Jr. was sitting out, but Sr.'s leverage was even less at that point. Now, with his stock plummeting, Jr. has to play.

If that’s the case, good for Amanda Braun and this athletic department. We all expect them to screw things up, and they usually do, but if this is the case, then they deserve some credit.

This would be logical (and embarrassing- they could go to Northwestern (or Duke?), maybe?). I hope there is no need. I hope we go to the Big Kahuna/Big Dance... But with the way Jr. has played last couple games, he's gotta get better. We have to get better as a team. We should have figured all this out last year in November. We are a talented but no-good team and that sucks. As for the game, why do we always seem to wake up and start playing basketball when there is not enough time left?

The myth of our talent continues I see. This team literally can’t hold a candle to the talent we had from ‘13-14 through ‘15-16. It’s not even in the same league. We have low major talent AND low major coaching, although I’m pretty sure our coach would have a hard time even getting an interview for a low major head coach opening after his wretched tenure here.
And enough of the “AB was so smart not to extend him last year” idiocy. EXTEND him!? For what? Did you not notice the four year record he already put in the books? At any self-respecting program he would have been FIRED. She fell for the moronic assumption that PBJ would make PBS a coach! ANY competent AD knows you NEVER keep a bad coach because you are afraid of losing a recruit.
ANY recruit.

PBS DID make his post game radio appearance today. "We settled for a lot of jump shots...we weren't very physical in the first half...not having Joey was huge...we've got to keep grinding, we've got to keep fighting..."
Yada, yada, yada...

The losing isn't going to stop until Sunday, guys. NKU and Wright State coming up this week. Green Bay should temporarily stop the bleeding.
