Watched the replay and sensed both teams were tired. We were the better team and won. We should have won at Wright State. I dare say we were the better team. I enjoy watching this group of players. They want to win and are starting to understand defense rotation. They did a heck of a job defensively in the game. They need to limit stupid turnovers. Rebound! Rebound! Dre played within himself and turned it around. That was fun to watch. Baker needs to keep it inside. He is long and athletic and can shoot over the defense. That was a nice win on the road.

It is what happens when you drive it and dont settle for 3 after 3. So I’m expecting a barrage of threes against Green Bay Though a barrage of threes, especially from Dre, was one of the big keys to the comeback. They took 50‰ more threes in the +20 second half than the -14 first half. The difference is that they made half their threes in the second half compared to missing all but one in the first half. Funny that we aren't as critical of a team's style of play or execution when shots fall. I'm as guilty of that as anyone. But that is what we fans do, and that's OK.

The huge rebound was because PBJ had him positioned at the lane on an offensive free throw. He rarely sends his players there. I do not see the value of that strategy. Even at that time, he had only one there. Why not two???

It's the one pass to slightly contested 3's that I hate, which seems to be most of the ones we take.

In better news... you can clearly see Gholston is not happy with just a win here or there. As he walked back to the tunnel after the victory you can see him saying " Let's GO MAN". It's time. Pat Jr. is coming back Wednesday. Dree can lead this team to a championship. Plenty of other Panthers who can step up and take the weight of trying to revive a wayward program from PBJ's shoulders. This team wants it (March Madness). Let's hope there is an honest explanation for PBJ watching the Bucks live ("live" on TV live as opposed to taped games or in-person at Fiserv live?).. maybe his ankle is an issue again? Could we (if an honest explanation) blame him for enjoying his time as a Panther in this city? The good news is that this creates leadership opportunities for others. PBJ isn't the entire team despite the pre-season inclination to characterize us as such. And when he returns- (we have no reason to not expect he returns Wenesday night)- the team, esp. Dree and JT and Lathon and the upperclassmen will accept him with open arms. We need everyone to win. I may be reading the developments wrong but on and off court body language, constant communication on the court and consistent high performance have me believing Dree G is the leader of this '21-'22 Panther team. And that's good to get settled. You can't have everyone vying to be the leader (or worse, everyone afraid of being the leader!). Let's move past a concerning (transparency is total BS rn with MKE Hoops) development that may have a completely honest explanation and in the scheme of it all, doesn't really matter. I'm as pissed as the next Panther feeling like we are being told we are lucky to be able to even be graced by PBJ's prescense on our team-- how dare could we criticize his frequent absences... Totally agree that is some bs. If he's healthy he should play and I hope he plays every game remaining. If he does and we start rolling through the league as #1 or #2, ppl will forget the 6-7 games PBJ has missed. If he continues missing games... eh, not sure what to say. I am confident he's back Wednesday and that roster transparency will improve. Scott Warras and Rosiak need to ask the right questions and stay in contact with PBS- otherwise we are forever in the lurch on even the seemingly most miniscule, routine developments it seems. We do seem to have chemistry on the team getting better. PBJ can take a load off his shoulders, get back in the lineup and then, we can, once finally again at full strength, start wreaking havoc in the Horizon. It could be mighty fun at Panther Arena for the 9-10 remaining games if we start a long winning streak.. (we should be on a 3-game winning streak rn). go pantherspress on.

PS: Jordan Lathon: you have the potential to finish this season as a phenominal point man. But please, please stop shooting from beyond the arc unless you have no other choice.
Everyone on the roster: play to your strengths; leverage your uniqueness.

Because we all need a daily dose of smoke blown up our asses, right Cactus and haroldlee?
Delusion and optimism are NOT the same thing, and I would hope as older gentlemen you would know the difference.

Hey! Just here to enjoy the game. This team plays hard and has a long way to go. We all know that. They can look terrible and not that bad at times. I don’t think there is anything wrong with hoping these student athletes do their best and enjoy this time. There is a lot more in the world to cause worry. I don’t think there is anything involving leather full of air that will ever cause me the angst so many on this board seem to experience and possibly enjoy. Go Panthers!
