How good this day was.
When this program did the last, IMO notable thing.
Beating the Wisconsin Badgers at the Kohl Center. 68-67.
Ahh the memories.

That was 6 years ago.. LOL!
My favorite college memory, and last road game as a student before I graduated a week later.

When this program did the last, IMO notable thing. That was a nice memory indeed. Maybe a few notable additions are the Minnesota victory a few weeks later, the win against Loyola in Loyola's Final Four season, the Iowa State win, and beating Valparaiso in the conference semifinal during LaVall's year here. In any case, far and in between occurences.

That game was so much fun to watch. Brad Davison must have had an off game that day.
Looking forward to playing and beating them again. I absolutely loathe the Badgers.
Steph Curry embarrassing them in the NCAA tourney is also a fond memory of mine. Wouldn’t it be great if we made the tourney this year, played the Badgers, and beat them ? I think Milwaukee is hosting a regional. One can dream, right ?

God, this is painful to watch because we used to be good and respected. If our AD would have given Jeter one more year, we may have made a run.

Refresh my memory....where did we finish in HL that year and how far did we "make a run" in the HL tournament....\ Good point but we finished 20-13 (10-8 conference) that year with wins over 2 Big Ten teams. Do you think we'll get close to that this year? Plus the next year how many players transferred to other Power 5, D1 programs? I wouldn't mind watching a run with that team. We fired a coach that won 20 games. Come on....

Refresh my memory....where did we finish in HL that year and how far did we "make a run" in the HL tournament....\ Davedome was literally talking about doing what Braun is doing right now with Baldwin. Source: Braun Defends Jeter Firing, Says Only Jordan Was Offered JobObjectively we would have been in no worse situation had we let it play out. There's literally no argument to the contrary, because all you need to do is look at the absolute pit our program has become. Cause guess what another 4th-5th place in 2016-17 under Jeter have been? A whole f*** of a lot better than we actually got, and we wouldn't have had everyone going ape sh*t over how the transition was handled. God I hate hashing this sh*t over and over, but some people here just have to pipe in and talk sh*t like Rob Jeter personally pissed in your cornflakes. We're 2-6. Let's focus on the future of our own program instead of getting pissy about the guy who took over a 5-win Western Illinois team and has them 8-2 with wins over Nebraska and Northern Kentucky in year 2.

Yes, no one here likes the way Jeter's firing was handled by Braun. It is safe to say we all agree with that. We also seem to believe the side opposing our viewpoint, whichever side we are on, is affected by "revisionist history." Why is it so difficult for some to realize Jeter over-extended his stay by several years? The various athletic directors who wanted him gone because of the program's gradual decline were paralyzed by the automatic contract extension and their own job instability. It is ironic that when an AD finally had authority to say goodbye to Jeter, he produced a couple wins over B10 teams. It took ELEVEN years for those B10 wins! Since he left, it took SIX years for his next B10 win as a head coach. WooHoo! It is not good to have a head coach in a lame duck year unless an up and coming current assistant will succeed. We know that will not happen here. This is why I asked in another thread to elaborate on why you think the minimal documents produced through an open records search should assure us an extension has not been promised to PBS. Let's hope it has not.
