While it is very early and PBJ has essentially played in 3 games out of 7 which certainly is a factor very vexing and concerning:
In looking at the conference with or without PBJ looking like we will be part of the bottom 6 somewhere rather than the top 6.
Likely top six - Oakland, Cleveland State, Wright State, Purdue Fort Wayne, Northern Kentucky Youngstown State\
Bottom Six - Milwaukee, UIC, Robert Morris, Iupui, Green Bay, Detroit
Maybe with PBJ back we "leapfrog" YSU.... Such a great opportunity this year to generate some traction and interest. Now, regarding PBJ, what is going on with his ankle? Is there a chronic issue here related to the high school injury and secondly is our medical staff competent and doing the best to keep these ankle incidents from reoccuring.

I was coming to the game on Saturday but not going to waist my 2 hrs of driving no time for this CRAP WE NEED WINS not PERSONAL FEELINGS!!!! Come on Chief, we need fans, parents and supporters like you. If it’s a empty arena, he gets off the hook because no one notices. We broke the record for season ticket sales, so we can get loud and let the staff here it if nothing improves. We’re 1-6 and still haven’t found a rotation yet. Good point! Attend and show that we care. When no one attends, the silence allows someone like AB to fall into an even greater comfort level. If there is no one to express displeasure at the games, she would probably ease back like I assume she was able to do during her recent employer-paid pre-Thanksgiving vacation to Florida.

Regarding Josh Thomas very frustrating. A microcoism of how this killed us is the play later in the game where Jason Sinani committed a stupid foul on a three point attempt which turned into a four point play. Can not put it all on that but sure indicative of how things have consequences. No knock on Jason. Seems like a kid with a great attitude and effort. Just a freshman. Our local media has been very forgiving so far. Watching Dan Needles on ten o clock sports and all he mentioned was score and what an impressive play VBJ did as son of former Buck , they showed the block followed by the dunk. Nothing about losing 6 in a row. Thank you DAn. We will take whatever we can get right now.

Another comment as long as I am at it. Coach always falls back on the same two things...we did not make the plays when we needed and team is tough, never quits, but have to get tougher still....is getting tougher a strategy?? We actually seemed to have some ball movement though last night. Defensive rebounding is ridiculous

Having Josh Thomas not playing 25-30 minutes last night is a joke! Box Score said, 16:22 minutes.
Jasin Sinani gets 15:17 Jordan Lathon got 25:26

I don’t know what you guys are talking about. According to the box score today in the JS the attendance was 1,936. That’s a damn good crowd for a post-2016 game. Granted, according to eyewitness reports about 1100 were members of the ever growing “UWM Society of Fans Disguised as Empty Seats.” I hear patched pleather is a popular look for society members this year!

Very frustrating loss at home. Played better without Junior. Agree that rebounding is an issue. It is called not boxing out. I enjoyed the game with at least some students and pep band yelling. There is a bigger fan base, faces that I don’t recognize. Talked to one old guy that said he hadn’t been in The Arena for years. He may have been an old coach as he was with two younger men and explained to them why UWM lost. It was an interesting interaction. Also in my section there are new or returning fans who are showing some passion. All pluses but Baldwin has to find a way to win. Injuries can’t be an excuse. We are not playing against the best. This program should be highly desirable for coaches and players. With Administrative support I think we could get there. I haven’t seen Braun or Mone at a game unless I am sitting in the wrong section. Did see Craig Counsell with family. Get a win this Saturday and I mean blowout victory!

There's no pressure (or support) in an empty arena.

Not seeing Braun or Mone speaks volumes. Having flashbacks of not seeing Werner Baum at Baker Fieldhouse to see Kessem Grimes play. Drank way too much as a student because I thought he could be as good as Maurice Lucas but I digress....
Been thinking a lot lately about this whole issue and whether it was delusional, wrong and a pipe dream to dream too big after Pearl era. Maybe it was lightning in a bottle that could not be replicated by whomever was coach or AD because of the lack of administrative support. I really thought it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to literally jump us up to something special and keep it there becoming a sort of Butler if you will.....the old strike while the iron is hot, make no little plans etc...well. This is UWM and maybe hoped for something not realistic...sure seems that way now looking back. Not all Jeters fault obviously though they missed a golden opportunity coming off the momentum and buzz to keep it going and even a higher level or conference down the line but had a rookie coach hired because he might stay long term and coached under Bo Ryan....well. then we get George Koonce, Rick Costello, Nancy Zimpher replaced by Carlos Santiago...Andy Geiger...that was the ultimate. We hire a charlatan who we pay a ton of money to move us back to the KC because he says we are a pull out bleacher school ...academic fiasco huge buzz killer and the 2016 debacle.....maybe all of that does not matter as much as we think and we are what the administration wants us to be....D1 and nice programs outside of mens basketball which is actually a pain in the ass and distraction which they are dragged along supporting reactively and minimally at best. At the point now where it has been so long, a lot of broken dreams that I love the program but now feel sad and melancholy. We are IUPUI and maybe that is not the worst thing...guess I will dream of the day of Larry Reed, Clay Tucker, and all th excellent individual players we enjoyed as well as the long ago lightning in a bottle, Camelot, which fell to the fatal flaw. administrative apathy

I truly appreciate this input, Steve. Any post attempting to examine our issues at anything less than a macroscopic level is missing the picture by an incalculable degree. We have the highest-rated recruit in conference history by a wide margin and are presently 1-6 against a mostly putrid schedule. Where was the recruiting halo? Where is the array of playmakers? Outside of a healthy (and presumably less rusty) PBJ, this is who we are after SIX YEARS! Since the Fall of '16, we are now 59-100. There's a word here to describe that: Cobbian! To look at any of this on anything resembling a game-to-game basis is a fool's errand.

Ive never seen worse guard play. Teams have figured out that backcourt pressure is the easiest way to disrupt everything we do. Tonyt was totally right on the ball handling. It's a disaster.

FTA, I've long since given up trying to decide if it's a recruiting or coaching issue. Probably equal parts both. Who on here has the slightest bit of faith that this coach can run a D-1 program? Anyone?

The fact that PBS continues to play JT so sparingly during what is now a six-game losing streak in the "final year" of his contract makes me very nervous, fellas. VERY nervous.
