We should watch sports because we love the teams (or the sport itself) involved. Money can make things interesting where otherwise they weren't (main reason I've ever bet on any sports games), but I think seeing Draft Kings commercials in NFL and NBA broadcasts portends a very odd future unless nefarious activity is strongly punished (and teams keep their valuable data and private information, safe). Where large amounts of dollars are concerned, you can rely on the National Cash Acquisition Association to act in the best interests of all. But especially the NCAA. Hey...who are you calling "cynical"? |

No PBJ, Kane. Browning or JT. Sheesh. Hopefully it’s all precautionary with today’s game not mattering much and Thursdays game meaning something. Without PBJ and JT, the Panthers are without two of their “Big Three” and I’ve been more impressed lately with Markeith Browning than any other player. At least a few of Newby, Lathon, Gholston, Simms, JSP, Sinani, Hankock and Bol need to play well today to win. |
