PBS on the radio post game said there is not much more he can do. He said the coaching staff has given them "a couple" of plays and the players have to get the ball in the basket.
I paraphrased a bit, but that's what I believe he said.

PBJ is nowhere near a bust, everyone's expectations are just far too high. Out of the 3 people ranked higher than him only one is averaging more points per game. Yes he hasn't played that well either, but he's always been someone who scores within the system and when he gets to his spots. Our offense (or lack thereof) is making it difficult on him. PBS is incapable of getting him in the spots he needs. How many freshman come in and have games of 21/10 and 19/11 in their first two games while not having many open looks created for them through the offense?

Not an ideal start to the year IMO

pbJ isn’t the problem, although he’s in grave danger of falling into the trap I described many months ago. At a Duke or a Kentucky if you’re a 5 star averaging 11 and 7 the scouts just write it off as being on a loaded team. At a midmajor they want to see video game numbers. Ja Morant numbers.
I think at this point we’d have to be nuts to expect a win against any team in the top 175-200. When it happens it will be more of a happy accident than the product of good design and preparation. No matter what happens the rest of this season, this program needs a complete teardown and reset starting at the top — and I don’t mean pbS, although he’s obviously included.

I am not saying PBJ is untalented or does not have a bright future. I am saying he has done very little to help the team succeed. If the team does not succeed by season's end, his freshman year would be considered by most as a bust. Just go back to the season expectation thread on this message board and the 4,000+ that attended the opener for a reminder about those expectations.
Fortunately the season is young and by March this discussion could be moot. We will see.

Some of the worst body language I have seen from a team. Hanc*** and Ross should just enter the portal now. Both sulked the whole game and acted like it was a chore to be there. Newby had more energy than most of the team combined

But you are only approaching the first turn of the season and there is a long way to go before the finish line. This "coach" has still only gone 12-32 after January 24th, and 6 of those wins were in 17-18 with Rob and LaVall's players. He's 6-27 with his own rosters. 17-18: 6-5 18-19: 0-11 19-20: 2-9 20-21: 4-7 His teams historically don't improve over time, so why would you expect this one to?
