Without watching, seems like we are back to the shooting bad threes at the end of the shot clock per usual.

I feel like our centers don’t do much for us. They don’t create interior offense, they don’t do much for rebounding. Really they defend the interior, but perimeter defense seems to be our Achilles heal.
Somebody recently mentioned giving VBJ more time at the 5. I think that makes a lot of sense. Our small ball lineup still has size, and would likely create a lot more offense.

I’m actually impressed at how bad we are. No wonder why nearly everyone that has played under PBS has transferred away.

This team needs to watch the video of the last 5 minutes vs Wright St in the conference tourney last year, and play like that for the entire games going forward. I fear that these fleeting times of brilliance, such as that comeback, and our 2nd half comeback vs EKU, are when our players go "off script" and play however they want. But when they are being "coached", we get what we normally see. Or I could be totally wrong, and instead those comebacks are the rare times they actually played selfless team basketball? Either way, this is a coaching issue. |

It’s happening again. It’s late in the game. We introduce a press and a zone for the first time in the game. Things that maybe we should have considered doing much earlier, if not the whole game.

This is the first time in a long while that I've listened to most of a game without being able to watch the video. It is definitely more difficult than watching on TV. My mind keeps drifting to thoughts like "who are the biggest busts in Wisconsin sports history?" Tony Mandarich, Don Morton, Sam Okey, Franklin Stubbs...
It's too early to put PBJ on the list, but given his team contribution thus far and apparent frailty, could he be on it someday??? I hope not, but the potential for this is being rooted with each passing excruciating moment.

Are we worse than last year? I think that might be the case. Despite whatever the issues with Tejon were, he at least could win games on his own. This offense has zero creativity with zero guys who can get their own shot. Yikes.

82-68 L. its far too early to call PBJ a flop, but he clearly has not played like the 4th ranked player in the country in his class.
