And miracle of miracles, Cactus and Mrs. Cactus attended two road wins in a ROW!!! Add that to the win over the Nationals I saw in person, and the denizens of this board may be on a hot streak. Go buy a lottery ticket 😁

Too bad Gott and Williams did not pitch in reverse order so we could say "Gott got the save." It's a beautiful day in San Diego and I'm looking forward to see what Ashby & Co. can do in the series finale. Ashby pitched well enough that he should have got the win, but the Brewers managed to take the lead only after Ashby was out of the game. The bullpen did its job, and the Crew took the series from the Padres. Today's final score was 2-1, and the Crew won without hitting a homer. Rowdy Tellez tied the score with a run-scoring double, and Tyrone Taylor drove the second run with a sac fly to the warning track in left. Angel Perdomo was credited with the win, Brad Boxberger got a hold for pitching a scoreless eighth inning, and Devin Williams got the save. For the record, LUIS Perdomo was credited with the win. Angel has been on the IL most of the season at Nashville.

Eric Lauer wins his fifth game, 4-3 over St Louis. Lauer was responsible for the first two runs. The Brewers took a 3-2 lead in the second and scored an important insurance run in the fourth.
Trevor Kelley, Trevor Gott and Brad Boxberger held the Cards to one additional run in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings, respectively, and Josh Hader pitched the ninth for his 16th save in as many attempts.

More than a month since anyone added to this 🙂
Understandable, with the month of June the Crew had.
They seem to have righted the ship as key players came back from the disabled list.
Heading into the ninth inning tonight, the Crew led the Pirates 17-2. Corbin Burnes pitched six innings of one-run ball. He didn't have his usual command, but he didn't need it.
The Brewer bats were hot tonight: eight of their 13 hits through eight innings were extra-base hits, four doubles (Wong, Tellez, Urias and Brosseau) and four home runs. The homers accomplished a rare occurrence: a "cycle" of home runs: a two-run homer by Urias, a solo homer by Hiura, and a three-run homer by Tellez (all in the second inning), and a grand slam by Adames in the eight inning.
In the time it took me to write this, the Crew scored two more runs in the top of the ninth on a solo home run by Caratini and an RBI double by McCutcheon. For the evening, Milwaukee had 16 hits, 10 of which were for extra bases.

After dropping the series finale with the Rockies, the Crew swept a two game series with Minnesota, 7-6 ( A sac fly by Luis Urias walked it off) and 10-4. Rowdy Tellez had two three-run homers and and Urias had a two-run homer. Corbin Burnes got the win this afternoon, striking out 11.
