Do you really think he's going to make an announcement on national TV that he's not going to play for his Pop? . Valid point, but thinking this way would make me feel optimistic with regards to UWM basketball, and that rarely ends up well. |

This is either going to be a huge day for the program, or a disaster. Landing a tip 5 recruit will instantly makes us a better team. Hoping this story ends well, would help attendance and program visibility. Cautiously optimistic here. Nah, I would not see it as a disaster. If PBJ goes elsewhere, next season is the usual for us (okay, I suppose you could argue the "usual" = disaster). If he comes here, I see it is a big bonus. |

I mean, it would be a little embarrassing to have him pick someone other than dad on National TV. Especially since the consensus amongst experts throughout the country is that he’s supposedly coming here. I’m not as confident that it’s going to happen. But that would almost make us more of a joke when everyone is blindsided by him choosing Duke. Like “not even his own dad could get him to play there.”
In any event... I’ve never seen so many sides confident that it’s going to be their team who gets him. Duke “insiders” seem convinced it’s them. Our insiders say it’s us. And even some G’town folks think they swooped in at the last minute. I really have ZERO idea what to expect tomorrow. But I know I’ll be nervous as hell.
Would love for it to be us. I’ve been so excited about this possibility since the crystal balls started pointing to us. But whatever he chooses, I’ll be rooting for him. I’ll never cheer for Duke. But I’ll hope he (personally) does well if that’s the decision he makes.

And I honestly would be very happy for the kid to spend his one year in college playing for his father. To me, that's a dream come true for a player of his caliber. Duke will be fine, even without PBJ. I think he could do more good for the UWM program than the Duke program. JMO. |
