Could Baldwin be looking to bail to a higher paid gig than he has now even if an Assistant position with JR in tow? your are on point that rumor has been floating around a lot but don’t know if it’s true but I have heard that more than once. It would make sense. From his standpoint, it would make sense that he would want to bolt for a long term job (even as an assistant) right now. If he coaches the way he has been the last 4 years in Milwaukee again next year (or finishes anywhere other than 1st with PBJ in tow), those offers probably won’t be there next year. If you’re PBS, would you bet on yourself for next year to perhaps get an extension or a slightly better assistant coach offer next year, or do you take the safe route while you have some leverage. As it’s been stated before, it really puts PBJ in a pretty crappy position, and one that no high schooler should have to go through. |

I think if PBJ decides to come it will be easier to fix this roster but he is waiting to long to commit he has to commit by the first of the month if he don’t this team will be dismantled 1000% and I hope he signs and one more thing we need a real big or a Bonafide 4 that can rebound don’t need a tall stiff that can’t do anything we need a presence make it happen

Either you're coming or you're not. The longer you wait to announce it, the less help you can potentially get to come with you. I think Milwaukee's best option is to sway a few transfers who didn't get playing time on the Power 5 level, to come here. That's the most realistic best-case scenario, for this roster. Don't expect an avalanche of 5 stars players to start committing if PBJ does. Coach has to start recruiting the heck out of that transfer portal. |

But first we would need somebody capable of recruiting someone like Matt Tiby, Ant Hill, James Eayrs or Kyle Kelm. Or like Dylan Page, Marcus Skinner, JJ Panoske or Bryce Nze, for that matter. But as Dave observed, at this point we are more than likely down to chasing transfer guys who couldn’t get off the bench at P5 programs as a best case scenario. The illusion of the transfer portal is that there are hundreds of great players available. There aren’t. The great players probably number at most in the dozens, and they’re all going P5. There might be another 100 - 200 “good” players. Most of them will also go P5. Probably a third of all the players in the portal are guys who will likely find no takers unless they drop down a division or two. Everyone in between falls squarely into “just a guy” territory. |

I appreciate Te'Jon's time in the black and gold and wish him nothing but the best at DePaul (or wherever he may be going from here), but he may be our Patrick Ewing.
If in fact Junior commits to Milwaukee it will be best to get the ball in his hands as much as possible, and with JT on the wing opposite DeAndre, we may want more of a facilitator at the point guard position. That scenario could be better for our on-court success. Of course, that assumes we can bring in the players to make this a reality as it remains to be seen if Jordan Lathon is that guy.
