Another example of no news is good news.....this is not good news unless I am missing something He's getting a promotion as well as jumping ship before the inevitable after next season. Terrance McGee jumped ship from SIU the year before that HC was going to be let go as well. |

Personally, I don't view this as anything other than "news". A shakeup needed to happen anyways so this is fine. The only downfall is given PBS' lame duck status, the job won't be very attractive.

Great news for Paris. His Chicago connections will go a long way at DePaul and I’m sure he’ll be getting a nice bump in pay. Assistants make way more at a low end Big East school than with us. Obviously we weren’t his end goal and he probably can see the writing on the wall.
I know the players loved him and all but it’s just the nature of the business. Not sure if there’s more news on the horizon but we’ll survive this one.

Maybe the ship is about to sail. Lots of what if’s...... Realistically, players SHOULD be committing to us because of our head coach. Not because of an assistant. And if the loss of an assistant coach causes a wave of transfers, then we obviously have a much bigger problem we need to take care of. If it’s only one player who ends up leaving (especially because of an opportunity to play in the BE), that’s a while different story. |

Could Baldwin be looking to bail to a higher paid gig than he has now even if an Assistant position with JR in tow?

DePaul is a bottom feeder. Hopefully Paris can help them out. Losing an assistant coach is not “the sky is falling” news on any other message board besides this one. We have so far avoided the high profile transfers that have been popping up at our mid major counterparts. Just look at the transfers happening in the Horizon. If we are down an assistant (which sucks because I’ve heard he was highly regarded and well liked) and some of our reserve players, I would say this has been a good off-season, with the potential still to be great.

Losing an assistant coach is not “the sky is falling” news on any other message board besides this one. This board freaks out when a walk-on transfers DOWN to get a scholarship & playing time. The nerve of that kid not paying his own way all four years!!! I'm surprised people haven't been sh*tting bricks since PBS still needs to hire a director of ops too. |
