I think most teams in the HL have at least as much talent as Cleveland State. Coaching is a huge factor in college basketball. Dennis Gates is going to be a hot commodity during silly season.

The good news is there is plenty of time and talent to make adjustments for a strong finish this season. The bad news is this coaching staff has not shown an ability to do that in it's three prior seasons.

This is what I’m saying individuals accolades means nothing without a win Lucas score 20 but we lose by 15 Ltd don’t make sense we not playing as a team and it won’t get addressed sad.

What about playing smaller and faster, applying a full-court press to create easier opportunities? Considering this roster seems to have more talent, and depth, at the smaller positions than the bigger positions, that would be one possible recipe for success, if the coaches could successfully manage to do it. |

It's almost like coach is afraid that Lucas might transfer if he doesn't give him deferential treatment compared to the rest of the team, despite many of the newcomers being much better shooters than him. If so, that's extremely sad and concerning. It would also explain the team's discontent, and how they seemingly aren't playing with as much effort as they were earlier this season. And this is clearly a multi-season pattern, with PBS coached teams playing very well early in the season, and then not being able to win a game the 2nd half of a season. |
