i agree. you save Hader , like with most closers, for one inning. the Yankees rarely, if ever, made Rivera pitch more than 1 inning. i think we should have had some one else come pitch the 8th, and leave Hader the 9th. Hader wasnt as good this year as he was in 2018. no shame in that because Hader that year was virtually untouchable.

Anyone want to offer an opinion on the Brewers's chances of keeping Moustakis and Grandal around?
David Stern has made it clear that the club would like them to stay. Both contracts have mutual options, so i assume from Stern's statement that the club is willing to exercise the options or negotiate a longer term contract with each player.
Moustakis tested the free agent market after 2018 and ended up back in Milwaukee.
i'm all for having both of them back in 2020.

I wanted them both traded before the trade deadline as the team wasn't going anywhere. I think it will be a great idea to sign both. Would rather pay bigger dollar at a shorter year term.

Bringing back the old-school uniforms, baby! I'm in tears! Can we turn back the clock on ballpark prices, too?

Congrats to the Washington Nationals. They beat some top pichers starting with Hader. I would still toss Hader for two innings for two, since it wasn't the 2nd inning that beat him.

I think that we all have to ask ourselves what the greatest priorities are here and how much it would take to keep them. My take: a small-market franchise has to be VERY careful with how it appropriates $$$.
