Keon Broxton traded to the New York Mets on Saturday for three players, including hard-throwing reliever Bobby Wahl.
In addition to Wahl, 26, who will be given a chance to make the Brewers’ bullpen in spring training, the Brewers acquired two players who began their professional careers in 2018 – right-hander Adam Hill, 21, and infielder Felix Valerio, 18.

With $1,000 betting limits to start, customers might back the over or under on the team wins. The Milwaukee Brewers' over and the Cincinnati Reds' under had attracted the most early limit bets. By Wednesday, the Brewers, who opened at 83.5 on Tuesday, were up to 86, and the Reds, who opened at 77, were down to 74.

As a West Milwaukee resident I will push our village leaders to keep Miller Park Way named Miller Park Way. Unless Am Fam throws some money at field upgrades at West Milwaukee park.

We need some warming thoughts about the Brewers these days! Is there any noteworthy Hot Stove League talk?

Not that I need warming thoughts as much as most of you, but I look forward to my tour of Brewers Fields of Phoenix next Saturday. www.mlb.com/brewers/spring-training/ballpark13 days before pitchers and catchers report. Starting next week, there will already be some staff and player activity at all of the spring training complexes. Things tend to get started earlier than the scheduled report dates.

Okay, that’s just rubbing it in. If it wasn’t 60 degrees warmer today than Wednesday, you’d be in big trouble.

When it is 105+ degrees for several consecutive weeks here in summer, at which time Milwaukee will be absolutely gorgeous, feel free to return the favor!

Got a tour of what is now American Family Fields of Phoenix on Saturday. First class amenities! Players and staff are really going to like it. It seemed like a completely different place on the exterior and inside the buiildings, while still maintaining the seating bowl charm. Saw Stearns and Schlesinger moving into their offices and Uecker checking out the franchise legend tributes, which includes one of him. Had a chance to speak to the architect, who told me that he was pleased with how well the plans were implemented. There is currently a lot of media coverage from the Brewers and baseball perspective. Here is the take from a local perspective in today's Arizona Republic. www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix/2019/02/12/milwaukee-brewers-unveil-new-spring-training-facility-maryvale-arizona/2853541002/
